April Fools’ Day is one of my favourite days of the year.

It’s celebrated on April 1st. I enjoy playing tricks on my

friends outside school on that day. We can’t play tricks on
our classmates or teachers. It’s a school rule…., and if you
don’t follow the rules, you get a “red card” (your parents
are informed about your bad behaviour).

I love going to school and I don’t usually get “red cards”.

But last year, I decided to play a practical joke on my
parents and I needed my teacher’s help. I asked her to
give me a “red card” to show my parents and she said “OK”.

On April Fools’ Day I couldn’t wait to show my dad the

card. At first, he got really angry with me and I pretended
to be anxious!! But then I told him to turn the card over.
“APRIL FOOL! –Ms. Helen Brandon (history teacher)”, it said.

Dad understood immediately and started laughing. Mum started laughing too! It was great fun!!!

We all went for a walk that day and stopped for some ice-cream before going back home. It
was a cool April Fools’ Day!!.
