BRIEF INTRODUCTION
Taking care of clients is more effective than finding new ones.
Therefore, companies should look for ways to have customer loyalty and
aim at building long-lasting relationships with them. Professional ethics is
a principle that govern the behavior of a person or group in a business
environment. Like values, professional ethics provide rules on how a
person should act towards other people and institutions in such an
environment.

PROFESSIONAL ETHICS
• Greet the client by their name or addressing them politely using Sir or
Ma’am.
• Greet the client with a pleasing tone of voice and with a smile.
• Offer a seat to client while they are waiting or still deciding on what
services they will avail.
• Make sure that the personal belongings of the client are safe.
• Consult the client regarding his/her preferences about the treatment
and product to be used. You can give recommendations or suggestions.
• Always see to it that the comfort of the client is provided.
• Discuss with the client the procedure and what to expect.
• Respect the client, do not gossip, and do not spread rumors about them.

• Confidentiality is important. Do not divulge client’s information.
• Be ethical by following the rules of proper personal behavior.
• Make a good impression on others.
• Cultivate charm, confidence, and a pleasing personality.
• Pay attention to the minor details that will make patrons like you.
• Be cordial when greeting patrons in person or over the telephone
• Listen attentively when others speak.
• Handle all patrons with tact. Develop an even temperament.
• Set a good example for what you are selling. An attractive personal
appearance is your best advertisement.
• Train yourself to be capable and efficient in your work.
• Be punctual in arriving at work and keeping appointments.
• Plan each day’s schedule. Avoid long waiting periods.
• Learn to talk intelligently about your work.
• Use tact when suggesting additional services to patrons.
• Avoid criticizing, condemning, or complaining.
• Be prompt and judicious in adjusting patron’s complaints.
Scrubs and body polishes are suitable and safe for just about everyone.
They are not invasive and will not involve your patron assuming any odd
positions. As a precautionary measure, the following should be noted:
1. The patron should not have a scrub if they have cancer or fever.
2. A patron should also seek expert advice, if they are allergic to anything
or has a skin condition of any kind.

4. Make sure the patron is clear about any medical condition, or treatment,
so that you can be sure of a treatment that is safe and appropriate.
5. For female patrons, take off her entire make up before you can begin.
This includes anything that will leave a mark, such as jewelry or watch.
7. Do not give a body scrub without analyzing the condition of the body
temperature and blood pressure of your patron
8. Give sponge bath to patrons, to cleanse the area of the body to scrubbed.
