POWER SUPPLY
Ground the instrument correctly.
Otherwise, the operator will be exposed to the risks of electric shocks.
Do not pull the electric cord off the receptacle by grasping any part other than the plug
head.
Otherwise, you will risk electric shocks or fires.
WARNING Do not damage or modify the cables in any way and do not place heavy object on them,
step on them or otherwise apply stress on them by pulling, bending or binding them.
Any damage to the cables will increase the likelihood of an electric shock or a fire.
Do not share the wall receptacle with any other instrument.
Otherwise, you will risk an overburdened receptacle, leading to electric shocks or fires.
Switch the instrument off, after you have finished using it.
Otherwise, you will risk having the instrument started unintentionally. Also, pull the power cord
from the receptacle, when you do not plan on using it for an extended period.
CAUTION Do not place objects in the space around the wall receptacle to facilitate access to it, thus
making it possible to remove the plug quickly from it in emergencies.
OPERATING THE INSTRUMENT
Check before switching the instrument on that all the hoses are connected properly.
Otherwise, you will risk cooling water infiltrating the inner space of the instrument, leading to
electric shocks.
WARNING Do not expose to moisture the part of the pump which protrudes from the tank.
Otherwise, you will risk cooling water infiltrating the inner space of the pump, leading to electric
shocks.
Be sure to close the waterproof cover before starting lens edging. Do not open the cover
while edging is in progress unless absolutely necessary.
Edging without closing the waterproof cover may result in lens fragments flying out from the
machine.
Ensure an adequate water supply before starting.
Edging without an adequate water supply may result in lens fragments flying out from the
machine.
Note that water may freeze in the hose in winter.
CAUTION Keep the extractor fan running while edging.
Some lens materials may generate an unpleasant odor.
In case of any smoke issuing from the instrument, switch the instrument off and pull the
power cord immediately off the receptacle.
Do not re-use the instrument, even if the smoke has stopped.
Contact your salesman at HOYA sales office for repair.
EDGING CONDITIONS
In case the edge thickness of a lens is thin, set the Edging conditions in consideration
of strength of edge thickness.
Strength of edge thickness differs depending on lens material strength and Edging conditions
CAUTION
(with grooving or with chamfering or non). In some Edging conditions, a lens wearer may
hurt him/herself with chipped lens edge.
Hold the dressing stick with your hand securely, taking care to prevent your hand or
fingers from being drawn onto rotating parts or spaces between moving parts.
