concentrate on types of people that are more likely to offend - for
instance, by patrolling working class areas.

if the behaviour was the same.

haad the opposite perception of w/c deviant behaviours, so were
more harsh on them.

resources that the majority of others could lead to
criminal activity.

- As society becomes more materialistic there is an increased


pressure to buy expensive items such as trainers and designer
clothes.

- If these cannot be bought legitimely, people may be


tempted to turn to crime to acquire them.
