    Course Objectives
    On the completion of the course, students should be able to:
    i. Describe the nature and scope of accounting.
    ii. Differentiate between booking and accounting.
    iii. Discuss the objectives of financial accounting.
    iv. Appreciate various branches of accounting and method of recording accounting data
    using manual and electronic device.
    v. Prepare basic accounting records from primary books to extraction of trial balance.
    vi. Correct basic posting errors.
    vii. Prepare bank reconciliation statement.
    Method of Teaching
    The course would be taught through Classroom teaching and group tutorials.
    Assessment
    Students would be assessed on the following:
    -Continuous Assessment (tests, assignment, e.t.c) 40%
    -Semester Examination 60%
    -Total Score 100%
