Lesson Plan
1. Science: Students will learn about the different states of matter (solid, liquid, gas)
and their properties.
2. Language Arts: Students will develop their vocabulary by learning the names of
different objects and substances.
3. Art: Students will create artwork using different materials to represent the different
states of matter.
Engage:
1. Show and Tell: Ask students to bring an object from home made of different
materials (e.g. plastic, wood, metal) and have them describe its properties.
2. Mystery Box: Prepare a box filled with objects representing different states of
matter. Let students take turns guessing the state of matter of each object based on
its properties.
3. Sing a Song: Introduce a catchy song about matter and its different states.
Encourage students to sing along and discuss the lyrics.
