ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The successful completion of this project mark the beginning of an

ever-going learning experience of converting ideas and concepts into
real life, practical system. This project was a quite a learning experience
for me at each and every step. At the same time it has given me
confidence to work in professional setup. I feel the experience gained
during the project will lead me to gain the bright prospect in the future.
First of all I would like to give thanks to Head, Education and Training,
Mr. , for giving me the opportunity to work in this established
organization, which not only has increased our awareness about latest
field but also taught me the importance of team building. With the deep
sense of gratitude, I express my sincere thanks to Mr. , For her active
support and continuous guidance without which it would have been
difficult for me to complete this project. I will also like to the working
staff teacher at Ethonotech for taking keen interest in my project and
giving valuable suggestion and helping me directly or indirectly to
complete this project.

Abstract
Pipe Vice is a very useful and important part of any fabrication work.
This is a design manual which contains step-by-step information to
make your own pipe vice. A Pipe Vice is a pipe holding device which
is used to cut pipes in industries. In this project we will be doing the
part modelling and the assembly of this device using solid works
software. Solid works is a software used to create part modelling 3D
and 2D drawings of most machine components.

Components
1. Base:
The base is made of ductile cast iron. These are the type of cast iron
that contain spheres of graphite. They are extremely strong hence it is
virtually guaranteed against breakage. Below are the 2D and 3D mode
2. Handle screw:
Below are the 2D and 3D models. Create a half sketch of the Handle
screw and with all the specified dimensions and then shaft it to 360
degree. Now select circle and face then click hole. It will form a hole
on the surface.
3. Handle:
Below are the 2D and 3D models. Create the half sketch of a Handle
and with all the specified dimensions and then return. Now click on
shaft for 360 degree.
4. Movable Jaw:
As the jaw are the key clamping components of both types of pipe vice,
it is vital that they are made from a material that can withstand
significant amounts of pressure, hence they are made of the heat treated
steel. Below are 2D and 3D figures.
5. Screw:
Below are the 2D and 3D figures. Now create a half sketch of a screw
with all the specified dimensions and then return. Now shaft the sketch
to 360 degree.
Assembly
Assembly is a method of joining the number of parts to make product.
