The SDG and The Environment Assessment

ESSAY:

1. The first thing I’ve learned about the Sustainable Development Goals, or SDGs
as they are commonly called, is that they are intended to unite people in order to
enhance quality of life for everyone. They are a collection of shared objectives
developed by the United Nations to aid us in overcoming global issues including
poverty, inequality, climate change, and others. The SDGs were designed with
the express purpose of bringing attention to some of the most pressing
environmental issues facing the world today. There are discussions of sanitation,
sustainability, pollution, and climate change. But the SDGs are about more than
just awareness. Additionally, they divide each objective into a number of
achievable sub-objectives. It is extremely difficult to address a problem like
climate change, but the SDGs offer more manageable strategies to do it for the
sake of our environment.

Second, the SDGs include more than only environmental issues. They also address
important, fundamental human concerns including poverty, injustice, economic
development, peace, and justice. People will have a better understanding of the
difficulties encountered in both their own lives and the lives of people all around the
world. And lastly, the SDGs are more than a collection of impersonal principles. The
objectives themselves are wise, with distinct, time-bound milestones that comprise each
SDG. Many of these goals must be met within the next few years, while some of the
more significant obstacles are scheduled for 2030. This makes it easier for people to
understand not just which aspects of the objective are most urgent but also what can be
accomplished even in a short amount of time. By making sure that the objectives are
concrete, quantifiable, achievable, reasonable, and timely, the SDGs are demonstrating
to us that even little changes may have a significant influence on the globe.

2. There are easy solutions to address or contribute to our environmental problems

in our world. I believe we should switch from disposable to reusable things since
whatever we use and toss might possibly spend hundreds of years in a landfill.
To diminish landfill trash, conserve natural resources, safeguard ecosystems,
reduce pollution, reduce energy consumption, and slow down global warming, we
should also practice water and electricity conservation as well as recycling
practices in everyday life. By recycling, reusing, and composting, choosing more
eco-friendly transportation methods, cutting back on power use, shopping locally,
supporting environmental charities, and avoiding hazardous chemicals, we can
all do our part to safeguard the environment.
