PUBLIC NOTICE
WRITTEN SPECIAL CSS COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION

(Apply online before 15thAugust, 2023. Also deposit hardcopy of online application
form alongwith requisite documents)
1. The written part of Special CSS Competitive Examination will be held by FPSC w.e.f 12th October, 2023
(Thursday) in the cities as mentioned vide Rule 3 (3) of Competitive Examination Rules, 2019, except Gilgit
and Muzaffarabad due to administrative reasons. Accordingly, all candidates, who have qualified MCQ Based
Preliminary Test (MPT) for Special CSS Competitive Examination held on 21.05.2023, intending to appear in
the written part of Special CSS Competitive Examination, may furnish online application to FPSC on or
before 15th August, 2023.
2. ELIGIBILITY:
(a) The Special CSS Competitive Examination shall be held for filling up vacancies which remained
unfilled through CSS Exam over the last many years. Therefore, ONLY THE CANDIDATES,
BELONGING TO FOLLOWING PROVINCIAL/ REGIONAL QUOTAS ARE ELIGIBLE TO
APPLY:-

1. Punjab Minorities only 5. Sindh (U) Open for all candidates
2. KPK Women + Minorities 6. Balochistan Open for all candidates
3. AJK Minorities only
7. Ex-FATA Open for all candidates
4. Sindh (R) Open for all candidates

(b) Must have atleast 2nd Division Bachelor’s degree.

(c) Age between 21 – 35years (for Special CSS only). No further age relaxation is admissible in any case.
(Explanation: A candidate born on or before the 31st day of December, 1987 and on or after the 2nd day
of January, 2002 shall not be eligible for the Special CSS Competitive Examination).
(d) The cutoff date for determining the eligibility of candidates in terms of age, qualification, domicile etc,
is 31st December, 2022. Therefore,all candidates are advised to submit requisite documents complete in
all respectsbefore the cut-off date. Otherwise, their candidature shall be liable to be rejected as per CSS
CE Rules, 2019.
(e) Candidates shall be admitted to the examination provisionally at their own risk subject to their being
found eligible in all respects. On detailed scrutiny of the applications after the announcement of result
of the written examination, if any candidate is found ineligible in any respect under relevant rules,
his/her candidature shall be cancelled and rejected regardless of the fact whether he/she has appeared in
the examination or qualified therein. TO AVOID INCONVENIENCE, CANDIDATES MUST
ENSURE, BEFORE APPLYING, THAT THEY FULFILL ALL REQUIREMENTS OF THE
RULES RELATING TO THE CSS COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION.

3. PROCEDURE TO APPLY:
(a) Deposit examination fee @ Rs. 2200/- before 15thAugust, 2023 in the nearest Govt. Treasury/State
Bank of Pakistan/National Bank of Pakistan under the account head “C02101-Organs of State Exam fee
(FPSC Receipt) vide challan form available on website.
(b) Submit online application to FPSC uptill 15th August, 2023 available at FPSC website. Choose
optional subjects in terms of Appendix-I of CSS CE Rules, 2019. Choose Examination Centre
carefully. Subsequent changes in optional subjects and Examination Centre will not be allowed.
(c) Duly signed hardcopy of online application alongwith original Treasury Receipt and attested copies of
Matric certificate, Intermediate certificate, Graduation certificate, degrees, CNIC, domicile reach to
FPSC upto 25th August, 2023. Thereafter, it would not be accepted and candidature will be rejected.
4. Online Application, Challan Form, Rules & Syllabus for Written Special CSS Competitive Examination are
available on FPSC Website www.fpsc.gov.pk.
5. Admission Certificates for Written Special CSS Competitive Examination would be made available on website
by 1st October, 2023. No separate intimation through post will be sent to candidates.
6. Candidates are advised to frequently consult/visit official website of FPSC regularly. No other communication
