Beginner Copic Marker Set

A small Copic Marker collection makes learning to color easier.

Why? Every marker ink has unique characteristics and behaviors. No

two Copic colors act alike! By practicing with a limited number of colors,
you learn how each marker will react during blending and how their
behavior changes with different papers. Smooth blending is easy when
you know your markers!

As a beginner, you’re better off with a small collection of markers

you know well than a pile 358 markers you’ve barely touched.

This beginner set was developed to cover every major color group, yet
keep the number of markers to a minimum. The list worked so well, I taught
classes with a group of local colorers for FOUR years using just these markers.

Once you’ve mastered blending with this set, you’ll understand a lot about Copics. You’ll also have learned through
practice, which additional colors you need for the projects you like to color. Wait to expand your collection until you
encounter an image you can not complete without a specific marker or blending group. By waiting until you find the
palette holes unique to your style and taste, you’ll avoid wasting money on colors you don’t really need.

Remember, there’s no trophy for owning every Copic Marker ever made. Grow your skills, not your collection.
