II. Description

Most cities showing interest in standing out can be seen in the smallest elements
of street visuals and urban architecture; making a well-designed orientation a key
element of urban design. Moreover, simple transportation assists individuals and
tourists in making the most of the city’s nature.

With its 40% open spaces, the city became one of the tree-lined, bike and
pedestrian-friendly avenues. Upon criticizing the area around the establishment, there
are few accesses to gathering point like parks, eating places, and meet ups by intending
to add sidewalks in public areas and improving more green spaces so that people can
engage a lot of time outside doing physical activities thus it result an ease to users in
terms of mental health. Because of expansion to green areas, it has a chance to
mitigate flooding, aids to improve public air cause of the shift of filtering toxins and rain
water pollution that diminish rates of waterborne. Ortigas Center is an excellent example
of urban design. It is carefully planned, incorporating green spaces, an efficient
transportation system, and diverse architecture. Overall, it is a well-rounded and
welcoming urban environment that promotes a high quality of life for both residents and
visitors.

What makes Ortigas Center, Pasig City fits the definition of Urban Design:
● Grant as “The Green City” because of its ecological capability; well designed
open spaces
● It is considered as walkable streets and has nature parks for families
● Developing residential and commercial community
● District that has multiple business centers
● Improvements in culture
● Well-known Schools and Establishments
● Nearby Hospitals within the vicinity
● Efficient transport system
● Accessible elevated walkways
● Well-connected roads and access to major highways
