    Symphonicity is comprised of over 200 musicians who voluntarily play or sing for the LOVE OF MUSIC. Under the
    direction of Maestro Daniel W. Boothe, Symphonicity presents a variety of concer ts each season including a
    master works series, a 45-minute concer t for children and families, and the annual Messiah Sing-Along that is free and
    open to the public. Most of our per formances take place at the beautiful Sandler Center for the Per forming Ar ts where
    we are a proud member of the resident companies. Due to the suppor t of countless individuals and business as well as
    the City of V irginia Beach, Symphonicity has successfully fulfilled its mission for the past 43 years!

    Daniel W. Boothe is an internationally award-winning Bobby BlackHat, V irginia’s Blues Ambassador, award
    music professional currently ser ving as Music Director & winning recording ar tist, harmonica player, vocalist,
    Conductor for Symphonicity of Virginia Beach, Virginia songwriter, comedian, and producer, has been playing
    and as a public affairs officer in the Air National Guard. harmonica for over 46 years. He has opened for music
    As producer, conductor, or per former, his live events legends to include B.B.King, Taj Mahal and Delber t
    span 31 states, Southwest Asia, and Russia with McClinton, and per formed with Eddie Shaw, Kenny Neal, and
    multimedia broadcasts that have reached over 50 Ruthie Foster to name a few. In 2017, Bobby won the
    million people in 175 countries. He was an American USAA / We Are T he Mighty Mission: Music nationwide
    Prize finalist and also the sole international recipient of competition. In 2016, the Bobby BlackHat Band advanced to
    the prestigious 2007 Conducting Fellowship in the final of the International Blues Challenge in Memphis.
    Chautauqua, New York. In 2016 Boothe was hand- Bobby is a retired U.S. Coast Guard Commander with 27
    picked to conduct the national Christmas Tree Lighting years of distinguished ser vice which included ser ving as
    Concer t on the Hallmark Channel with GRAMMY- Militar y Aide to the President and being awarded the Coast
    winning ar tists. In 2019 he was the recipient of a Guard Medal for Heroism.
