Data Privacy Consent Statement –

SSO Service and


Siemens Online Services
September 2022

Dear User,
You are about to create a user account for the Siemens single sign-on service (“SSO Service”). The SSO Service enables you
to access Siemens’ applications and online services (“Siemens Online Services”) for which you are authorized with just one
single user account (login). After logging into a Siemens Online Service via the SSO Service, you can easily switch to
another Siemens Online Service within a browser session and stay logged in with your user account.
The processing of personal data subject to this consent statement is undertaken by Siemens Aktiengesellschaft, Werner-
von-Siemens-Strasse 1, 80333 Munich, Germany (“Siemens AG”) and, if applicable, the local Siemens company providing
a Siemens Online Service to you (Siemens AG and the local Siemens company are hereinafter referred to as “Siemens”).

1. Consent to the processing of personal data in the SSO Service

To provide the functionalities of the SSO Service to you, Siemens processes the following personal data about you:

• Your name and email address, your company

You hereby consent to the processing of your personal data as described herein. You understand that the provision of
your consent is voluntary and that you have the right to revoke your consent with future effect at any time (from within
the SSO Service). In case you do not grant or revoke consent, you will not be able to use the SSO Service.
Siemens AG and the local Siemens company are jointly responsible for the personal data processed in the SSO Service and
have entered into a joint controller agreement which describes the different organizations’ obligations in relation to the
processing of your personal data. The essence of the joint controller agreement will be made available to you upon your
request. Please note that
• the information provided in the Siemens Privacy Notice also applies to the processing of your personal data in
the SSO Service and in the Siemens Online Services, and
• you may exercise your data protection related rights via Siemens by writing to dataprivacy@siemens.com.

2. Consent to the processing of personal data in Siemens Online Services

If you are a resident of the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Colombia, India, Israel, Japan, the Republic of
Korea, Mexico, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Turkey, the State of Qatar or the United Arabic Emirates,
you further consent, towards your local Siemens company and according to the laws of your country of residence -, to the
transfer of your personal data by your local Siemens company to Siemens AG and to the processing of your personal data
in Siemens Online Services as follows:

Data processed:

• Your contact information, including name, e-mail address, telephone number;


• Information provided by filling in forms in the Siemens Online Services, submitted as part of a service or
support request or in comments or forum posts;
• Where the Siemens Online Service allows you to make payments; payment data, such as data necessary for
processing payments and fraud prevention, including credit/debit card numbers, security code numbers and
other related billing information;
• Where the Siemens Online Service offers of training and tutorial services; training information and history;
and
• Information on your interaction with the Siemens Online Service, including your device and user identifier,
information on your operating system, sites and services accessed during your visit, the date and time of each
visitor request.
Siemens processes your personal data for the following purposes:
• To verify your identity;
• To provide the SSO and Siemens Online Service’s services and functions which includes creating and
administering your online account, updating, securing, and troubleshooting, providing support, as well as
improving and developing our Siemens Online Services;
• To bill your use of the Siemens Online Service;
• To answer and fulfill your requests or instructions;
• To contact you with information and offers concerning our products and services, to send you further
marketing messages and conduct customer satisfaction surveys, where and as permitted under applicable law
• As reasonably necessary to enforce the Siemens Online Service’s terms, to establish or preserve a legal claim
or defense, to prevent fraud or other illegal activities, including attacks on our information technology
systems, to ensure compliance with our legal (such as record keeping and export control obligations) and
business partner compliance screening obligations (to prevent white-collar money laundering crimes).

You understand that the provision of your consent is voluntary and that you have the right to revoke your consent with
future effect at any time (from within the SSO Service). In case you do not grant or revoke consent, you will not be able to
use the Siemens Online Services.
