He was known for his descriptive compositions and for being a blind Vallenato composer. He was born in 1928 in Barrancas and died in 2013 in Valledupar.     Leandro Jose Duarte Diaz was a famous singer-songwriter colombiano, he


    was a vallenato symbols, was famous for his music, he was the first person to
    blind singer-songwriter, he was borned in February 20 in Barrancas, they lived
    in Valledupar, he didn´t study at university, He started working as music in
    1935, he travelled to guajira. He married Helena Clementina Ramos Ustáriz in
    1956, he died in June 22 2013, in Valledupar, He is still popular today because
    blind singer-songwriter and for being a womanizer man
