OVERVIEW OF SPECIAL USES

1. Cross-Roads Communities
- A settlement that was built at the intersection of two or more highways is
known as a crossroads community. In the early years of colonization,
crossroads communities gave the surrounding landscape character,
vitality, and a sense of community.

2. Agricultural Settlements
- A community that is often located in a rural location or province and whose
economy is centered on producing and maintaining agricultural land and
crops. Land cultivation is the main source of wealth in a settlement that
depends on agriculture. Such a society emphasizes agriculture and
farming whilst acknowledging diverse forms of employment and work
habits.
3. Industrial Estates
- Industrial estates are designated zones for industrial activity that provide
infrastructure like roads, power, and other utility services to support the
expansion of enterprises while minimizing environmental impacts. It is also
an area created specifically for industries or offices that is located outside
of a town or metropolis.

4. Military Camps
- When a military unit moves away from a sizable installation or fort for
training or operations, camps are established. These frequently take the
form of sizable campgrounds. A temporary military installation used to
house an army.

5. Commercial Complexes
- It is any building or structures on a property or neighboring properties that
are owned by one individual or by a condominium association, contain one
or more commercial businesses, and may also serve residential purposes.
6. Transportation Hubs
- The transfer of passengers and/or cargo between vehicles and/or modes
of transportation takes place at a transportation hub. Public transportation
hubs include, but are not limited to, airports, ferry docks, bus stops, rapid
transit stations, train stations, and tram stops.

7. Recreational Centers
- A public building where activities for both adults and children are offered,
events are held, and sports are played. Its main objective ought to be to
provide opportunities for leisure time and physical activity in a friendly
setting.
8. Mining Settlements
- An area where miners dwell is called a mining community. It's frequently
called a mining town or a mining camp. The hub of a mining community is
typically a mine or a quarry.

9. Retirement Communities
- Retirement communities are clusters of residences that are only open to
those over a certain age, typically 55 or 62. These homes may be single-
family homes, duplexes, mobile homes, townhomes, or condominiums.
