    A portion of a botanical garden is in the shape of a trapezoid as shown in the figure. Dino
would like to cover the whole area of this part of the garden with carabao grass. How many
square meters of carabao grass are needed?

If you draw another trapezoid that is exactly the same as the given trapezoid and arrange
them as shown in Figure 2, a parallelogram is formed.  See LM p. 209
You can say that the given trapezoid is ½ of the parallelogram.
