- Established on August 8th 1967 in Bangkok,Thailand

- Member states:
Malaysia,Philippines,Singapore,Thailand,Indonesia,Brunei,Viet
Nam,Myanmar,Lao,Cambodia,East Timor
- Aims and purpose:ASEAN aims at promoting economic growth,social
process and cultural development.At the same time, it focuses on protecting
regional peace and stability,and providing opportunities for its member
states to discuss difference peacefully.
- Charter: The ASEAN Charter came into force on 15 December 2008.Its
main principles include respect for the member states’ independence and
- non-interference in their internal affairs
- Motto:One Vision,One Identy,One Community

Viet Nam
- Located is Southeast Asia, Viet Nam is a small and beautiful country with
victorious history.wonderful landscapes and hospitable people.
- Viet Nam has the population of 90 millions people.
- In 28th July,1995,Viet Nam official becomes the 7th member of the ASEAN.
- Viet Nam is a leading agricultural exporter in ASEAN
- Intangible cultural heritage :
- Viet Nam is a country which has a rich traditional culture.You can find
spiritual values in traditional arts performances such as Quan Ho
singing,Cheo,Tuong,Water puppet…
- Folk festival
Viet Nam is the region with many folk festivals that make tourists coming here
once want to come back such as Keo Co,Ca Kheo,etc
- Costumes
- Ao Dai is considered to be Viet Nam’s traditional garment.
- Beside it,there are many traditional costume of some ethnic group such as
Muong,Dao,Thai,..
- Food
- All Vietnamese people are proud of Pho,the traditional dish of Viet
Nam.Many visitors have tried and most of them love its favour.
- Beside Pho,there are many famous dishes in Viet Nam like Banh Mi,Cha
Cuon,Bun Cha,…If you visit Viet Nam without trying them,it is a big waste
for you.
