A. COURSE DESCRIPTION AND COURSE INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES (CD-CILOs/ Outcomes)

Chemistry for Engineers explores the key areas of chemistry needed for engineers. This course converses how atoms and molecules act
and interact to make the modern materials that underpin technology and solve engineering challenges. As the material is presented, case studies
relevant to engineering are included that demonstrate the strong link between chemistry and the various areas of engineering.

At the end of the course, the learners are to:

1. Discuss the application of chemistry in relation to the generation of energy
2. Explain the chemical principles and concepts of structures and bonding of common materials
3. Discuss the chemical processes that takes place in the environment
4. Identify key chemistry concepts related to the specific field of engineering
