Abstract    China  has  continually  worked  on  space  debris  research,  complying  with  the  White  Paper  “ China’s
Space Program: A 2021 Perspective”. This paper aims to clarify China’s research and application progress from
2020 to 2021 in space debris observation, prediction, protection, and mitigation. In this context, it also summarizes
the space debris mitigation efforts made by the Chinese government and provides the expectation of future direc-
tion for the work.
Key words    Space debris, Observation, Prediction, Protection, Mitigation
