AIR FILTER

Azumi uses the world's leading technologies for filtering air from all kinds of contaminants,
including particles of the smallest size for the production of its Filtration Products.
AZUMI PRESENTS 2 TYPES OF AIR FILTERS:
RADIAL CYCLONE AIR FILTERS

Metal mesh panels on the outer and inner cylinders increase the strength of the filter and protect
the element from engine back-fire. Fire- and heat-resistant, but flexible material is used to make
fixing plates on both ends of the filter element. The plates perform a kind of fixing function and
provide "air tightness" of the filter.
PANEL ELEMENT AIR FILTER

The air passes over the entire plane of the filter, which reduces flow restriction. The process of
high-quality molding of the filter material allows you to achieve perfectly even and identical
folds, which allows you to distribute the air flow in the best way.
OIL FILTER
The purity of the oil entering the engine, determines its service life.
A high-quality filter not only removes contaminants from the oil, but does it in the most efficient
way, without interfering with the flow throughout the entire life of the filter (during the entire
period until the recommended replacement).
THE EFFICIENCY OF THE FILTER CONSISTS OF 2 COMPONENTS:
Filter material quality
Filtration area
The flat spring and M-shape of the filter material increases the filtration area with a very
compact filter size.
Durable steel filter housing
Plate-shaped spring
Anti-Drain Back Valve
Keeps oil in filter to prevent engine from destructive “dry starts”. It stays flexible in extreme
temperatures.
Metal Mounting Plates
Manufactured by pressing for increased precision and strength.
Filter core
Fixed by spot welding for additional strength.
High quality M-shaped filter element
Each filter model is different and corresponding to the given characteristics.
Anti-drain valve
Durable steel base
By-pass Valve
Prevention of "dry" operation of the engine in cases of high filter contamination or high oil
viscosity at low temperatures.
O-Ring Gasket
Passed compression tests to ensure long life and no oil leaks.
DOUBLE-CIRCUIT OIL FILTER FOR DIESEL
By-pass valve (2.5 bar)
Plate-shaped steel spring
Valve
Sealing retaining ring (with silicone braid)
ECO OIL FILTERS
AZUMI presents a wide range of internal oil filter elements, their replacement is possible
without replacing the external elements of the filter construction, which can remain
unreplaceable for the entire life of vehicles.
WHY ECO Oil Filters?
Reducing the cost of maintenance
Environmental protection through long-term use of the main filter elements
Reducing the risk of installing the wrong filter design
Convenient filter replacement
CABIN FILTER
Is the air in your city clean? AZUMI is on guard of your health!

The air on city roads contains 5 times more various pollutants, allergens, harmful elements than
the air away from the road, and 10 times more than the air outside the city.
More than 500,000 liters per hour is the approximate volume of air passing through your car's
air ducts.
The cabin filter is the only barrier between your lungs and harmful pollutants, and a lot
depends on its quality and efficiency!

odors
When replaced regularly, AZUMI cabin air filters significantly reduce pollution and wear on
your car's air system.
CARBON CABIN FILTERS
Standard cabin filters are capable of removing large particles such as road dust, pollen and
particulate matter.

AZUMI carbon filters include an additional layer of activated carbon, which eliminates
unpleasant odors and adsorbs all harmful gases such as sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide.
ACTIVATED CARBON is used as an active element of this type of filters - a porous
substance that has the property of absorbing toxic gases

ENGINE BUSHING, MOUNTING, INSULATOR

Motor mounts (engine mounts) are used to connect a car engine to

the car frame. They are usually made of rubber and metal. The
metal portion connects to the engine on one side and to the frame
on the other. The rubber is in-between to provide some flexibility
(so engine shake doesn't cause the car to shake). Newer cars may
use slightly different mount, however, there purpose is the same.
The number of motor mounts varies from car to car.
RADIATOR HOSES @ MOUNTING

The cooling system is what keeps your car from having a

meltdown. If you didn't have some way to cool things off, your
engine would turn into a solid block of useless metal in no time
flat. All of the parts that make up the cooling system have one goal
of moving coolant around the engine so it can absorb and dissipate
heat.

STEERING GEAR BOOT (GAITER)

Steering Rack Gaiters are manufactured from high grade rubber

and made to OE specification. A hole in gaiter letting in water and
dirt in, or allowing lubricant to leak out, will cause rapid wear and
will eventually ruin the rack. Both gaiters should be renewed, even
if only one is damaged.
STABILISER BUSH, STEERING BUSHES AND STABILISER LINK

Stabilizer bars and links are part of a car's suspension system. They
are sometimes also called anti-sway bars or anti-roll bars. Their
purpose in life is to try to keep the car's body from "rolling" in a
sharp turn.
Steering rack with tie rods are responsible for car steering
sensitivity and bushing is most replaceable part of this system.

ARM & BODY BUSHING

Bushings in a car refer to small mounting connections used to join

moving parts and pivots in a car suspension system together. Their
primary purpose is to enhance smooth running of a car and
minimize friction. They also absorb the shock before it can be
transferred to the chassis.

the chassis elements.

STABILISER BUSH, STEERING BUSHES AND STABILISER LINK

The steering and stabiliser systems provide manoeuvrability of

your car.

SHOCK ABSORBER MOUNTING & BUMPERS

The upper mount of the shock connects to the frame (i.e., the
sprung weight), while the lower mount connects to the axle, near
the wheel (i.e., the unsprang weight). In a twin-tube design, one of
the most common types of shock absorbers, the upper mount is
connected to a piston rod, which in turn is connected to a piston,
which in turn sits in a tube filled with hydraulic fluid.

The MacPherson strut combines a shock absorber and a coil spring

into a single unit. So, the mounting is specifically design for it. It
has a massive cup as a spring sit and important bearing unit to deal
with a twisting motion of strut road.

Shock Absorber Bumper ostensibly designed to absorb the impacts

from wheels when the shock absorber has done its limit on bad
road and allow the car to sustain it without damage.

Cylinders
BRAKE AND CLUTCH CYLINDERS
The master brake cylinder is a control device that
converts non-hydraulic pressure (commonly from a
driver's foot) into hydraulic pressure. This device
controls slave cylinders located at the other end of the
hydraulic system. The hydraulic pressure created by
moving a piston (inside the bore of the master cylinder)
toward the slave cylinder(s) compresses the fluid
evenly, but by varying the comparative surface-area of
the master cylinder and/or each slave cylinder, one can
vary the amount of force and displacement applied to
each slave cylinder, relative to the amount of force and
displacement applied to the master cylinder.

The slave brake cylinder located in brake shoes

compartment. It does resemble as a cylinder with two
opposite pistons. This pressure makes its way through
your brake system, eventually acting on the individual
slave cylinders located at each of the car's wheels. This
pressure pushes pistons in opposite directions in each
slave cylinder, which in turn pushes on the brake shoes
and stops your car.

When the pedal is pressed, the piston in the clutch

master cylinder is pushed in forcing hydraulic fluid from
the master cylinder through the tube and hose to the
slave cylinder (on the left). The fluid pushes the slave
cylinder piston toward the open end of the cylinder
pushing the push rod that connects to the lever on the
clutch-operating shaft that in turn releases the clutch.
A clutch slave cylinder is a device used in the hydraulic
clutch system. It is usually attached to the manual
transmission by two bolts. The clutch slave cylinder has
a rod that extends out every time hydraulic pressure is
applied to it by the clutch master cylinder. The rod that
extends out makes contact with the clutch fork. In this
design the clutch fork is the one who activates the
clutch pressure plate.

Brake & Clutch hoses
BRAKE HOSES, CLUTCHES AND STEERING BOOSTERS.

The brake hose is used on the lending place which

metal pipes are not available or on the portion under
the direct influence of motion and jolt from wheels. As
the pressure level in the hydraulic pub pipes can be
several tons and bearing in mind that hydraulic pub
pipes are always under the pressure they should have
several layers structure. In order to increase the
durability, flexibility and strength they are armed with
the synthetic high-durable fiber. The brake hose has
rubber cover from the outside protects synthetic
chords from dust, moistures and other aggressive
components.
THE BRAKE HOSE STRUCTURE:

Inner rubber, EPDM standard Synthetic high-strength

chord Midline rubber, NBR standard Synthetic high-
strength chord Outer rubber, EPDM standard Fitting
pieceClamp

The armed brake hose allow increase the effectiveness

of the brake system due to elimination of the pumping
and decreasing the working pressure lost to help
decrease the brake pedal way. The brake power in the
armed brake hose is permanently even if the strain is
extremely high.
OUTER PROTECTED PIPE:
In Order to have a better protection of the pipe, the
metal protection is RMP TECHNOLOGY advantages.
RMP, uses only the high-quality armoring, with the high
control level of the armed top face gage. This is
provided by the fully automated Twine Making
Machines with the computer control of the waving
usage. The inner surface hose quality is another
important quality issue for brake hose. The little
cavities on inner surface finish cause fast loss with the
high pressure. RMP inspect strictly the inner surface
quality control of both- materials used before assembly
and inner surface of finished product.
COMPONENTS

The quality of fittings used in the hose production is the

main criterion of the brake system reliability. The main
competitive advantages of the RMP products is the
great variety of the fittings produced by non-welding
cold pressing technology (full item made by on hole
pies, that excludes the pressure lost over the fittings )
and high level of quality control for every item.

contain all items needed to rebuild a disc calipers on
one car front or rear. - The piston seal is the main item
in and it is done by EPDM material with excellent
resistance to high temperature and aggressive
environment like brake fluid or road cleaning
chemicals. The laser cutting technology provides
perfect geometry of angles that guaranties good
sealing. It also helps to retrieve piston back from pad
one brake pedal release. It’s remain good flexibility on
for a long time despite the aging process. The working
temperature range for SB seal is extremely wide from -
40? up to +300?

Piston seal position and design is done in the way that

it’s got deformed and retrieved back while you press
and release the brake pedal. Some more, the piston
position in cylinder is changing with pad thickness
diminish process but the seal fixed in cylinder is doing
the same job in all the time. So, it is self-regulated
system with self-adjustment according to pad
thickness. In fact, the brake pads movement amplitude
is very small and it’s just enough to release the grip
from rotor. But it is very needed to prolong the life
time of brake pads and other brake system
components by excluding unlikely material usage and
aging process cost by prolong overheating.
You will find high temperature silicone grease in the kit
(like NICHIMOLY, FX-2400 Silicone Disc Brake Calliper
grease). It is high melting point silicone based grease
working in wide temperature range from -46C to
+299C. Beside, it’s not dissolvable by brake fluid and
compatible to most plastics and rubber based material
especially with EPDM and EPT polymers used in
callipers.

THE ATTACKS OF ROTORS AND SCORCHING PROCESS

Its when the rotor material "attacks" brake pad surface.

Characteristic damages:

In normal braking process the brake pad material

travels to rotor surface to create the friendly braking
layer. The hardness is most important (but not the
only) physical property is responsible for this process.
SAE J431 G3000 standards for the automotive brake
rotor and drum includes Hardness range by Barinell
from 187 to 241. (See below Rotors material quality)

Non abrasive Ceramic Brake pads are more susceptible

to low hardness compared to relatively soft metallic
brake pad formulation. The hardness for Ceramic pad
should stay above 220 by Brinell scale. For example,
most of OEM rotors are produced with hardness above
240 by Brinell. But, unfortunately, aftermarket rotors
have hardness well below it.

The scorching heats the matrix of the friction material

to 600-700°C, allowing carbonization to occur to the
first 0.5 to 1.5mm of brake pad surface. It is good
prevention against rotors attack for aftermarket rotors
which is normally produced with Hardness 170-200.
Besides, it reduce the bedding-in time on replacement
brake pads to a minimum with ready to use soft
carbonization layer.
Here is the same formula appearance with and without
scorching.
ROTORS MATERIAL QUALITY.
Rotors are usually made of gray iron due to its superior
heat handling and damping (vibration absorption)
character. The quality are depends on combination of
Physical properties, Chemical composition and Inferior
microstructure.
Physical properties

Tips on installation and brake pads rating

Changing Brake Pads is simple. But there are some

important considerations sometimes missed by
installers. This could lead to noise and vibration,
leading to the mistaken belief that the Brake Pads are
to blame.

Brake Pads are critically important components in the

braking process. But even the most superior brake pads
will not have the ability to absorb all the vibrations if
the other supporting components are not in good
condition or if installation is poorly carried out.
1. Calipers and Brake Hydraulic system

Calipers should be serviced regularly. Damaged parts

need to be replaced. Pins and sliders should not be
bent or damaged (rusted) and need to be lubricated to
provide smooth slides for brake pads. Otherwise brake
pads will not be detached from rotor properly resulting
in faster wear (burned).

The brake liquid needs to be the correct type and

replaced before it absorbs too much moisture and its
boiling point drops below the specified level. Brake
hoses and cylinders should be in good condition or
replaced if damaged.
2. Disc Rotor.

If the rotor surface is uneven, damaged or has grooves

over 0.3mm depth – it will need to be skimmed or
turned with an on-car lathe. Otherwise the new brake
pads will not have proper contact with the rotor
surface, leading to noise, vibration and faster wear of
the pads.
3. Lubrication
Important lubrication points

- Using anti-squeal SB grease (included in the package)

a. Back plate of pads(edges and centre where the
cylinders push)
b. Holding Clips or Sliders (the sliders need to be taken
out)
    Refer to Picture 1
- Using high temperature grease (any commonly used
brand)
a. Caliper pins (bolts)

Choosing the right brake pads

When it comes to vehicular safety, the only thing

stopping your car from eminent collision with an
obstacle or another car is your brakes, and having a
good set of brake pads like those SB kits from RMP
NAGAMOCHI TECHNOLOGY CO., could play a major role
in actually avoiding such accidents in occurring.

Many aftermarket brake pad manufacturers simply use

just one material across the board for different
applications; as such it results in reduced performance
in some cases. RMP NAGAMOCHI use a number of
different formulations in SB range individually
preselected for each vehicle class. We have compiled
this guide to enable drivers understand all aspects of
brake kit works and help them to pick the best brake
pad for their cars.
Breaking Force - stopping power
Always remember a brake pad must not only create
sufficient grip on the rotor but the grip must remain
constant throughout without being wildly affected by
the rotor's temperature. A good brake pad like SB
should give you a grip that's equal to your pedal touch
for a nice and sensitive feel whenever you slam on the
brakes, this is crucial especially in today's heavy traffic
conditions.
Brake Fade - losing a brake in emergency situation

Perhaps one of the most commonly over looked factors

when it comes to traffic accidents whereby the vehicles
could not stop in time; your brakes must have be heat
resistant or able to dissipate heat quickly in case of
emergency braking maneuvers. To test how good your
brake pads fare against brake fade, drivers can try it by
applying multiple emergency brakes while moving fairly
quickly downhill. Your brake pads must work for you
even on the very last brake in emergency situation or
when you driving down very steep hill.
DID YOU KNOW?

It takes about 500km before a new set of brake pads

are properly run-in. Drivers should not just rely on first
impressions instead give it some time to reach its
optimum level of performance which should last right
up to the end of its service life.

Damage to Brake Rotor - care of your total repair cost

Some brake pads are too abrasive and as such will
actually damage your car's brake rotors over time, this
could even lead to expensive repair costs should your
rotors become so badly damaged they become
unusable. Hence it is important to look out for a non-
abrasive brake pad like those SB made on non abrasive
base that should allow you to use the same rotor for all
your car life.
Noise and Vibration - frustrating every one

Many times, drivers usually change their brake pads

when the brakes emit a loud screeching noise
whenever they brake, but did you know that this noise
could also be generated by incorrect installation of the
brake pads or poor brake rotor condition. For optimum
performance, even the smallest of parts like the shims,
sliding clips and pins have to be properly installed and
lubricated with the correct grease like the SB - anti-
squeal grease which comes with each SB Brake Pad Set.
Life Expectancy - longest drive is not always the best
choice

The biggest concern with many drivers is how long are

the brake pads going to last. Hard and abrasive brake
pads tend to be able to run longer distances but the
damage they cause to your rotors far outweigh the
savings incurred. SB set of brake pads from RMP
NAGAMOCHI should allow you to drive about
40,000km before they are worn out. But this is also
dependent on your driving style and the current
condition of your rotors.
Brake Dust - makes your rims and streets environment
dirty
Brake pad dust usually forms your rims because
manufacturers use steel fiber with carbon graphite as a
lubricant in their friction material when producing
brake pads. Others just use clay or normal soot; these
components contribute to increased brake pad dust
making your rims appear dirty. Dustless brake pads like
SB are more costly to produce but are beneficial to
drivers not only for aesthetically but also for health
reasons.
WHEN BRAKE PAD MEETS THE ROTOR

The first mating process of rotor and pad surfaces play

a vital role for their future life and performance. It’s
also called BED-IN process. The right way, if the
surfaces accept each other without any violations and
area damage. During the mating, the pad material
should transfer to rotor surface but not the other way.
But unfortunately, it may start to go all wrong and
irrecoverable process would lead to total damage of
both surfaces. Non-abrasive brake pads are more
vulnerable to this occurrence, compared to brake pad
with high abrasiveness.

A SCORCHING process usually required during

production to prevent bad primary mating. The Brake
pad's Scorching is a plasma treatment on pads’ surfaces
that makes it "cooked" for better adoption process by
the rotor.
Here are 4 reasons that could lead to bad affect and
how it could be eased or prevented:

The Rotor was produced with less or uneven hardness

or has bad casting or has inappropriate heat treatment.
Rotor needs to be replaced.
The Rotor was damaged by previous brake pads or had
been overheated. The rotor needs to be skimmed or
replaced, alternatively can try to adopt the rotor with
slight braking during first two weeks of driving but it
depends on the damage level.

The Rotor was contaminated with previous brake pad

material or it is rusted. The slight but continuous
braking are required during first two weeks of driving
to dispose of the old material or rust.

The Rotor is new but has a coating like with Zinc or

Dacromet or Geomet for rust protection. The slight but
continuous braking are required after installation
during first week to clean coating material on rotor
surface.
