Teacher Pedagogic Competence at Thowalib Pesagen Gunungwungkal Pati Madrasah
Ibtidaiyah, Academic Year 2022/2023”,Thesis, Islamic Education Management Masters
Study Program, Postgraduate Program at Nahdlatul Ulama Islamic University, Jepara.

This study aims to describe the role of the academic supervision of the madrasa head in
improving teacher pedagogical competenceat Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Thowalib Pesagen
Gunungwungkal Pati Academic Year 2022/2023. Describe the supporting and inhibiting
factors of the supervisory role of the madrasa head in improving teacher pedagogical
competenceat Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Thowalib Pesagen Gunungwungkal Pati Academic Year
2022/2023. Describe the results of the supervisory role of the madrasa head in improving
teacher pedagogic competenceat Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Thowalib Pesagen Gunungwungkal
Pati Academic Year 2022/2023. This research was carried out using a qualitative approach
with a descriptive research type. Research conducted inMadrasah Ibtidaiyah Thowalib
Pesagen Gunungwungkal Pati. Data collection is done through observation, interviews and
documentation. After that the data were analyzed through three stages, namely, data
reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that:
Rolesupervising the head of the madrasa at MI ThowalibPesagen Gunungwungkal Paticarried
out in 3 stages, namely, planning, implementation, and follow-up. Planning is carried out
withcarry out coaching and development of teacher knowledge and skills. Supervision of the
madrasa head is carried out through class visit techniques and class observation. Then the
follow-up to the supervision of the madrasa head is to provide guidance for teachers who
experience problems and also provide opportunities for teachers to take part in training
activities and MGMP. Factors supporting the supervisory role of the madrasah head in
improving the pedagogic competence of teachers at MI Thowalib Pesagen Gunungwungkal
Pati namely education, teaching experience, training experience, motivation, facilities and
infrastructure, and supervision of the madrasa head. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors were
lack of teaching experience, lack of training, lack of motivation, lack of supervisory role from
the Madrasah head, educational level qualifications. Improving teacher pedagogical
competence at MI Thowalib Pesagen Gunungwungkal Pati can Judging from the teacher's
ability to understand the characteristics of students, the teacher is able to develop a
curriculum according to situations and conditions, the teacher is able to utilize information
technology, the teacher can make an assessment, where the results of the assessment are used
as a reference to determine learning outcomes and also students' learning interests.
