MIRACLES FROM HEAVEN

Miracles from heaven is based on the true story of the Beam family from Burleson,
Texas. When 10-year-old Anna is diagnosed with an incurable digestive motility
disorder that threatens her life, the entire family's faith is tested.

Miracles from heaven is a heartrending, faith-affirming drama about the true story
of a 12-year-old girl, Anna Beam, suffering from a very serious medical disorder.
Anna’s mother, Christy, recognizes her daughter has something serious wrong with
her, but most doctors are confused by her disorder and treat her for other
diseases. Finally, Anna’s parents find an expert in Boston, but his findings don’t
bring much hope. In fact, things seem to be going from bad to worse. Anna
convinces the doctor to let her return home, but an unexpected accident leaves
Anna at death’s door.

Miracles from heaven is a well-orchestrated, emotionally powerful movie, with

strong jeopardy. The cast does a beautiful job adding humor and warmth to what
could have been a hackneyed story. Opposition from some church members and
an antagonistic atheist reporter add realism to the movie, which is based on a
true story.

Miracles from heaven is an uplifting postcard from God. It may not be everyone’s
cup of tea, but it tells a poignant, cinematic story of faith in Christ.

This story is a must-read story because it has a very strong Christian worldview
about a very young girl with an extremely serious digestive disease that’s killing
her which witnesses to Jesus Christ, with many scenes set in churches, with girl’s
mother suffering a crisis of faith and even getting angry at God; no foul language;
painful disease and visits to children’s hospital with children with other diseases
and child falls into a 60-foot tree; no sexual immorality (marital couple kisses);
upper male nudity when farmer changes shirt; no drinking; no smoking or illegal
drugs; and, women in church falsely accuse mother and father of having sin in
their lives causing their daughter’s disease, but pastor says YOU CAN’T CONTROL
WHO COMES TO CHURCH BUT YOU CAN LOVE THEM.
