Piping Symbols Library version 1.

2
compatible with AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT versions 2000 through 2008
With a couple clicks of the mouse, you'll be able to quickly insert the symbols you need to
generate piping layouts with ease. Utilizing a pull down menu and dialog boxes, this
comprehensive block library contains 9,400 piping symbols and organizes them for easy and
instant access.
It's easy to use:
This library can be easily loaded into AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT's menu bar for quick access.
Full instructions are included. There's no need to browse through folders every time you
need to insert a symbol. Its user-friendly interface allows you to simply point and click to
choose from a wide range of piping symbols in either Imperial (inch) or Metric (millimeter)
units.
Once loaded in AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT, "Piping Library" will appear in the menu bar.
Step 1:
Choose a symbol category and pipe size (Imperial units version shown)...

Step 2:
A dialog box appears showing all of the available symbols and their different views with
a description to the left. The red plus symbols indicate the base, or insertion points.
Choose the symbol you would like to insert and click on "OK"...
Step 3:
The dialog box closes and your symbol appears. Insert the symbol and rotate to the
desired position...

.
Details about the blocks:
You'll be able to select from a wide range of symbols, each drawn to 1:1 scale on layer zero
and with "Byblock" attributes.  Once inserted, simply rotate the symbol to the desired
position and it will take on the characteristics of your current layer settings. The Byblock
attribute allows you to change the color or linetype of the symbol without exploding it.
Centerlines are not included with the blocks because they are usually on a separate layer
and color.  However, the insertion point of each fitting is at the pipe centerline.

All symbols can be inserted using either Imperial units (inch) or Metric units (millimeter).
Here's what you get:
The "Piping Symbols Library version 1.2" comes with a total of 9,400 symbols in the
following categories:

Valves:
Valves are drawn in side and end view and include handles to aid you in placing them
where clearance may be an issue. All flanged valves have face of flange to face of
flange dimensions according to ANSI standard B16.10.
The dimensions used to create these valves were taken from the catalogs of these
manufacturers:

Not sure if this is a good deal?
If you're looking for a piping symbol program to speed up the productivity of your company's
cad department, consider this. There are 9,400 piping symbols in this block library. Let's say
that a cad operator, making $18 per hour, can look up the dimensions for each symbol and
create one symbol every two minutes. That's 30 symbols per hour. 9,400 piping symbols
divided by 30 per hour equals 313 hours of work...nonstop. At $18 per hour, that cad
operator would be paid $5,634.00 to create this piping library.
Don't be fooled by imitators...
CADToolsOnline.com is not involved or affiliated with any other cad related businesses, on
the internet or elsewhere. There are other websites on the net offering a piping library that is
extremely "similar" to my Piping Symbols Library v1.2 in function, contents and appearance.
The Piping Symbols Library v1.2 on this website was created by the owner of this website
who has over 15 years of experience with piping systems design utilizing AutoCAD. Get the
original version of the Piping Symbols Library (regardless of version number) and the great
customer support that comes along with it right here.
