Sir:

Alumni association has been conducting events such basketball tournaments for
almost 14 years. These kind of events encourage our alumni members and other
stakeholders to be part of the alumni community and they can associate and socialize
with one another. Moreover, these kinds of activities promote camaraderie,
sportsmanship, and health-related fitness to the participants.

With the ease of the Covid 19 restrictions of our city, the Batch 2000 officers
together with the Sports Committee of the Alumni, organized an Alumni Basketball
Tournament to tap our alumni members specially those who are basketball enthusiasts
to join and be active again to our organization. With this, the organizers, submitted a
proposal to the current officers and to the university president and it was approved. This
was supported by the alumni members by having a registration fee of Two Thousand
Pesos (2,000.00) to augment the financial requirements of the tournament but even with
this registration fee initiatives, the organizer still short of funds due to referee’s fee and
management fees needed for the tournament. With this issues, the basketball games
has been stop for now because of lack of funds.

With this, the undersigned would like to ask for the financial support from the alumni
association in order for the tournament to continue with only few games remaining. We
believed that it will not realize without the alumni Association financial. Rest assured
that after the tournament, there will be proper documentation and budgeting based on
alumni guidelines. Please see attachment for the budget and other documents.

Looking forward on your support and together we can attain the objectives of the alumni
association
