soft tissue cutting

The advantages of soft tissue cutting by laser

• When the soft tissue is cut, a part of the laser is
irradiated onto the wound surface to realize anti-
inflammatory, hemostasis, pain relief, sterilization,
and promote healing.
Laser VS scalpel
Cut by laser Cut by scalpel

Basically no blood bleeding More blood bleeding

Less pain , basically no anesthesia Strong pain, anesthesia is needed

Realize anti-inflammatory and A Little easy to be infected

sterilization at the same time
No need suture ,quick recovery with Need suture ,slow recovery with
small scar obvious scar
Relieve pain and less discomfort More swelling and more discomfort
Laser VS Electric wax carving
knife
Laser Electric wax carving knife

No tissue contraction after recovery Normally tissue contraction happens

(such as gum rest)
Can be used for metal part at low Can’t be used for implants and metal
power restoration
Little thermal damage to surrounding Strong thermal damage to surrounding
tissue tissue , easy to damage periosteum
and alveolar bone

Less pain , basically no anesthesia Strong pain, anesthesia is needed

Biological stimulation effect to improve More postoperative pain and

recovery complications
Multi-functions such as teeth bleach、 No other function
endo sterilization
Advantages of applying laser on soft tissue

•Minimal intraoperative pain——No anesthesia or

anesthesia is required for treatment

•Basically no bleeding——High absorption of

hemoglobin brings hemostasis effects

•Quick postoperative recovery——No need of suture

helps with wound healing and cell regeneration
PART II
Characteristics of Woodpecker laser
Classic one:

with two wavelengths

650nm+976nm

Advanced one:

with three wavelengths

450nm+650nm+976nm
LX16: 650nm+976nm;
LX16Plus: 450nm+650nm+976nm
Advantages of blue laser

• Near 450 nm, the absorption constant of hemoglobin

is two orders of magnitude higher than that of
conventional lasers. The melanin absorption constant
is increased by about 3 times. Therefore, only a
lower intensity laser is required to achieve the desired
cutting efficiency, usually only 1 to 3W.It is more
efficient.
• At 450 nm, the water absorption rate of the laser is
low, and the water can perform a certain cooling
effect, so the heat loss is low.
• 1.No need to activate the tips.
• 2.Can realize non-touch cutting
• 3.Consume less optical fiber
• 4.Can cut with low power and more efficient
• 5.There is less heat or power waste
• 6.Have natural fluorescence providing a clear vison
