home

▪ Also cover the top.
The Sat’r of deceased must be maintained at ALL times.

▪ Female: Neck to ankles

Reminders '

Must recite the dua’a before entering the bathroom or


“Bismillah”
Not necessary to be in state of Wudu or Tahara
Not Necessary to take a shower after giving the deceased
the bath.
No recitation of Duas required
Silence must be maintained
Must assign roles to each individual giving the bath.

Steps of Bathing the Deceased

If the body has clothing on then cover the body with sheet and
cut the clothing with scissors
Take off any jewelry, rings, ornaments if easy.
If any clips or hair bang remove that.
IV needles just check if still blood then remove after Ghusl.
STEP 1
CLEANING IMPURITIES AND ISTANJA
• Raise the head and shoulder of the deceased.
• Rub your hand along the stomach & chest of the deceased.
• Place the deceased back into the original position with the head raised.
Pour Water so if anything came out it flows away

• Throw away the gloves used to clean the deceased
• Place the deceased back on top of the neck pillow

Rinse mouth:
Wet lips, front of mouth with wet cotton ball
Cleanse nose with wet cotton balls.
Then rinse face like we do in Wudu.
Now Wash Right Arm from Wrist till Elbows. Wiping nicely
making sure water reaches all areas.
