1. WHAT IS THE ESSENCE OF BEING A CATHOLIC?

2. DO YOU CONSIDER THE CATHOLIC CHURCH

AS THE ONLY “TRUE CHURCH”? WHY?
Coming from my point of view, having a personal relationship with
Jesus Christ—becoming His disciple, servant, friend, and follower —
is the heart and core of being a Catholic. Therefore, becoming
Catholic means learning about Christ and then drawing nearer to
Him. And a part of being Catholic is realizing how much more we
know Christ, the closer we come to Him. To follow Christ is to make
decisions in line with His will. Being a practicing Catholic means
engaging in worship, prayer, and moral behavior that is consistent
with Catholic theology. Not only do we have to go to church on
Sundays to be called as Catholics. It is a must that we also live
according to God's word on a daily basis. Knowing our Catholic
beliefs, spending time in prayer with Jesus Christ, and doing our
best to live as He asks us to each day—even in the midst of the
most trying circumstances— are the keys to being a good
Catholic.

As a Catholic, I consider the Catholic Church as the only “true”

church. This does not, however, imply that all other churches are
fraudulent, fictitious, or dishonest. I believe that the Catholic
Church imparts knowledge to all nations while enduring
throughout time. She was founded by Jesus Christ to assist all
people in obtaining eternal life, and she teaches all of Jesus
Christ's teachings. It is the only church in Christianity with a history
that starts with its founder, Jesus Christ. It has every aspect of the
church, whereas most other Christian organizations lack some of
these components. Only through a sincere relationship with Jesus
Christ does the Church gain significance and speak with genuine
authority.
