The first day of the 10-day Capacity Building for Community Alternative

Learning System Implementers (CAIs) in Balingasag Central School began

at 8 a.m. on Monday. Begin with ALS Balingasag Central School, the host
district. followed by a welcome address from Dr. Beatrice Acdal,
superintendent of the Public School District, and an opening statement
from the school principal, Ma'am Adelina Japona. A purpose statement
that was presented by Dr. Joanna Ruby Presente, of EPS-Inclusive
Education. Dr. Butch Mahinay, the Division ALS Focal Person, may also
be the speaker for today's event on day one, along with an inspirational
speech. Coordinator of the Division ALS, Dr. Ronjie Rosete.

Additionally, highlighting the issues that have been addressed in the

Alternative Learning System (ALS), such as the learner's information
system (LIS) and reading intervention, added flavor to today's crucial
lesson. It enhances and sharpens the issues with these, and finding
solutions is always the key. addressing the issues improves the quality of
education. Dr. Ronjie emphasized the Learner's Information System as the
primary concern. It plays a crucial role for DALSC because they were in
charge of making sure that all records were accurate and legal. On the
other hand, ALS learners need to stay in touch by providing accurate
information that has been pointed out to them. Correct information could
easily prevent records from being invalidated.

Reading comprehension and looking for reading intervention are two

more. The process of gradually improving the reading issue through
intervention. consciously aware that it is one of the issues brought up.
Strategies help them overcome obstacles, but understanding development
is sluggish. The effectiveness of reading is greatly enhanced by these tools.
sufficient in guiding students who are able to improve their progress,
which can be demonstrated with these strategies, and improving.
According to the quote from this reading intervention, "Reading is the
gateway skill that makes it possible to learn other things."

Every problem or concern we face in the field, particularly those involving

our students, has the potential to be solved. These concerns or issues that
we face at work motivate us to improve our learning knowledge and
abilities for our students. We have also contributed to their growth and
success by shaping them into the best learners possible.
On day 2, tasks were officially assigned. I was the first speaker, and I
discussed the delivery method in her presentation: face-to-face modular
instruction and additional learning resources like Radio Based Instruction
(RBI). The primary function of the mode of delivery is to link each and every
lesson across all learning platforms. After presenting the delivery method,
Sir Nymslloyd Salas, one of my coworkers, gave a presentation about core
life skills for ALS 2.0. I elaborated on and talked about the core life skills
because there are more than one skill to strengthen the skills. Skills that
were appropriate for learning strategies but were not the same strategy. The
last speaker, Tagoloan Sir Bongbong Ely Eduave, gave his task, which is a
holistic approach to these core life skills for ALS 2.0 to investigate more
strengths and weaknesses. The four A's of learning were simply introduced
and discussed from his discussion; recognizing and mastering as a
component of bringing about change in this regard. He elaborated on
pattern in the form of the four A's—anchor, add, apply, and move away.
This is a guide to effectively making the four A's. As he concluded the
discussion with an assessment, he was planning 4 A's lesson plan.

Another productive seminar was held on the third day; it was excellent and
was up to date with all of the latest developments in the field. As this
seminar goes on, additional speakers today were given tasks to complete.
First, the speaker went over the basics of the Personal Information Sheet
(PIS), which went into more detail about how to figure out which level these
students are in. Because it was handled carefully, the core of this topic was
preserved. In addition, knowing a lot is extremely beneficial for providing
superior education.

The significance of the Functional Literacy Test (FLT), which identifies its
content, was discussed by the second speaker. Additionally, it involves
determining the learner's level of learning and providing FLT methods to
correlate and implement a strategy combination following the FLT results.
Consequently, it is where the ALS teacher establishes progress benchmarks.
After all, it also reveals their strengths and weaknesses. The final one was
about outlining the progression of (MILA) monitoring their record based on
that. Since (MILA) is a part of the portfolio of assessments, it ensures that
students follow and letter the learning in leap through Portfolio Assessment
as their requirement. Aside from this, the revised template was the final
section that was explained, changed, and improved. As part of this, the only
thing left to do is review and suggest activities that use the revised template
as the foundation for learners' refinement and success.

Adapted to every change and improvement that helped these topics that
were presented and highlighted their significance, embracing the capacity
for learning and providing functional development.
