Curfew ordinances are generally commended but rarely investigated enforcement mechanisms that local

police departments might utilize to reduce adolescent criminality. The study employed a descriptive
method to describe the present degree of curfew hours implementation in selected barangays in
Cabanatuan City. There were 150 respondents, the majority of whom were youths/juveniles aged 11 to
17 from various barangays in Cabanatuan City. In terms of the Level of Implementation of the Curfew
Ordinance, consistency is lacking, which is one of the most important aspects of the implementation
process. According to the data gathered by the researcher, the programs given or offered by the
barangay officials to those who violate the said curfew ordinance do not even work as a deterrent
because the youths are not afraid of the potential pain they will incur because the barangay officials do
not sanction the apprehended violators.
