1. Scope Of Work
The works covered under this contract comprise the design, manufacture, supply delivery,
installation, testing and commissioning of the whole Audio Visual Systems and its associated
equipments as detailed in this specification, supplementary notes, bill of quantities, drawings etc and
to the satisfaction of the S.O.'s Representative.
2. System Description
The basic requirement for the audio visual system at the Meeting Room/Seminar Room is to provide
a complete and satisfactory operating system for projecting a bright and sharp picture at the screen
including Audio Systems. The conceptual design of the Audio Visual System is given as a minimum
technical requirement the tender drawings.
The Audio Visual systems shall be provided in accordance with this specification, bill of quantities
and tender drawings. The tender drawings provide the following details:

• The video projector must be of a high quality LCD XGA colour projector capable of front
projections and suitable for large screen image projection.
• The video projector must be able to produce images of very high resolution, with amazing
colour quality, high brightness and definitions from computer graphics, imaging, animation
or CAD / CAM drawings and video cassette recorders.
• It should feature up/down left/right keystone correction, power-driven lens shift and
graphical interface.
• Remote control should be inclusive and it must be able to allow operators to set
convergence settings, picture adjustment, electronic focus and should be backlit to allow
visibility of control button in the dark.
• It should include a system interfacing unit to enable cornpatible multiple input source
switching through micro-processor based remote control units using infrared.
4. Products
The projector brightness shall not be less than 3,000 ANSI Lumens. The resolution shall be
XGA (1024 x 768) with a contrast ratio of 450:1 keystone correction shall be digital and it
shall be of high quality and shall be provided years of trouble free operation.

The motorized screen shall have a roller design which allows the viewing surface to be
centered in the case for a trim and balanced appearance. The motor will be mounted inside
the roller on special rubber vibration insulators to reduce mechanical noise. It shall operates
instantly at the touch of a switch. Stops automatically in the "up" and "down" positions.

The power amplifier shall be dual channel with low impedance output of 200W per channel
at 8Ω. The power amplifier will have dual speed fans, short circuit, overload, soft start and
thermal protection. The power amplifier shall have switch operable ground lift,
stereo/parallel operation, input gain sensitivity. The input shall be balanced XLR or
6.35mm TRS type and speaker outputs shall be speakon or binding post type.
The dual channel power amplifier shall minimally comprise the following technical

performance scaled outputs. It shall accepts all common analog video signals from
composite video to RGBHV and outputs computer-video at rates up to 1400x1050.

The VGA distribution amplifier is one input, four output, high resolution VGAUXGA
distribution amplifiers. It can be powered via pin 9 of a computer’s VGA connector.
The audio distribution amplifier shall minimally comprise the following technical
specification:

i) Dynamic Microphone
The microphone shall be a dynamic cardioids type, low impedance with a wide range of
frequency response, uniform from 80 to 12,000 Hz having an on/off switch. Output level at
1 kHz shall be –56 dB (0 dB = 1mW/10 microbars). The polar response shall show a
minimum of –15 dB at 180 degrees between 200 and 4 kHz. The microphone case shall be
die-cast zinc alloy.

The microphone stand shall be complete with screw adapter and adjustable boom arm. The
stand shall be folding type. Height shall be adjusted from about 95cm to 170cm with an
easily adjustable locking clutch. The boom arm shall have a counter weight and shall reach
about 80cm from the stand with angle adjustable by non-slip clutch.
k) CD/DVD Player
The CD/DVD player shall be to serves up great performance and features. Progressive scan
features will be provide a smoother, and clearer picture if when a using High-Definition-
ready TV. A Quick Setup screen appears when the unit is connected to the TV and ready to
guide through the process, step by step, screen by screen to get the optimum connections
and configuration.
The CD/DVD player shall minimally comprise the following features and technical
specification:
l) Equipment Rack
The equipment rack shall be of the floor standing type complete with heavy-duty leveling
feet. The rack shall be stamped metal plate or other approved material of thickness at least
3mm with epoxy coating, internal reinforcement and provided with side vents for air
ventilation complete with anti-vermin net. It shall be adequate in size to house all the
necessary equipment. The rack shall be arranged that all equipment installed is withdrawn
able from the front for servicing and maintenance of all installed equipment. The
arrangement of all the audio equipment in the rack shall be determined and proposed by the
specialist contractor. Interior shall be dust proof, insect proof and anti vermin. The whole
equipment rack shall be provided with lockable door with padlock for security reasons.
There shall be any conditions that allowed any equipment installed outside the equipment
rack. The rack shall be painted in metal black.

Special audio equipment including digital loudspeaker processor, dual channel compressor
limiter and electronic crossover and etc. shall be sealed by securing screw with Perspex
material on the facial panel after preset during testing and commissioning.
The design of the rack shall be submitted to the S.O's representative for approval
prior to fabrication.
If the rack is standard prefabricated type, catalogue shall be submitted together with the
tender document.
The power supply unit feeds the entire system shall operate at 240V AC 50Hz single phase
mains with regulation + 10V of nominal voltage. It shall have the following as minimum
requirement:-
All wiring within the rack shall be fixed securely without strain by means of approved
nylon/PVC cable ties. For the purpose of identification, all wires shall be numbered and/or
color coded. The wiring shall be numbered and/or color coded. The wiring shall be formed
in a neat and systematic manner, with cable supports clear of panel and without crossover.
m) Installation
• The specialist contractor shall furnish all equipment material, cables, conduits and
accessories required to effect the complete installation of the sound system.
• The microphone and speaker cables shall be run between the equipment rack and
the microphone/speaker via the patch panel. The patch panel shall be in the
equipment rack or flush to the wall and located adjacent to equipment rack. The
patch panel shall be compartmentalised into the input and output patch panel
complete with suitable connectors.
