Timing Procedures Interaction

WARM UP
T will have Ss discuss the following questions:

1. Do you usually go out to eat with your family or friends?

2. What dish do you usually eat for Christmas? class
3. What do you prefer pizza or hamburger? Why?

T will have Ss think about their answers and then T elicits.

PREDICTION
Ss will be shown a picture about the audio and will have to discuss the
following question:

1. What do you think the audio will be about?
T will have Ss think about their answers and then T elicits.

LISTENING FOR GIST


T will have Ss listen the audio carefully and answer the following questions:
7’ Whole
1. What is the audio about? class

Then T will call on volunteers and elicit Ss’ answers.

LISTENING 1
Ss will have to write a short paragraph about an experience when they ate in a Whole
20’ restaurant or asked for delivery. class
T will elicit Ss’ answers (correction if necessary).

LISTENING 2

Ss will have to join the images posted with the following sentences:

1. something that the person cooked


2. take-out food that the person ordered
3. something that the person ate in a restaurant
4. something that the person’s mother cooked

20’ Then Ss will have to join the images with the person who is talking. Individual/
Pair work
1. a good restaurant near their house
2. ways of preparing something
3. a dish with two main ingredients
4. a meal for a special occasion

Then T will form groups of 2 and Ss will compare ideas with their partner. T

POST – LISTENING ACTIVITY


T will have Ss discuss the following questions:

1. Which of the four dishes or meals would you like to eat? Which wouldn’t

SPEAKING
Ss will make a food journal for yesterday and write what food and drink you
had.
