Phase 1: Requirement Analysis

Introduction:
The Seek Employment System is a proposed project designed to
facilitate the job-seeking process for individuals looking for
employment opportunities. In today's competitive job market,
finding suitable job openings and managing the application process
can be challenging. This system aims to streamline and simplify the
job search process for job seekers while providing employers with
an efficient platform for posting job vacancies.

Objectives of the Project:


The main goals of the Seek Employment System include:
1. Developing a user-friendly platform enabling job seekers to find
suitable job openings matching their qualifications, preferences,
and location.
2. Creating a platform for employers to post job vacancies, assess
applications, and interact with potential candidates.
3. Streamlining and automating the application process,
encompassing resume submissions and interview arrangements.
4. Providing personalized job suggestions to job seekers based on
their skills and background.
5. Improving the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the job
search process for both job seekers and employers.

Requirement Specification:
1. Functional Requirements:
1.1 User Registration:
 Users should be able to create accounts with unique usernames
and passwords.
 Users must provide necessary personal information for account
creation.

1.2 Job Search:


 Job seekers should be able to search for job openings using
various filters such as location, industry, and job type.
 Advanced search options should be available, including keyword
searches and salary ranges.

1.3 Job Posting:


 Employers should be able to post job vacancies, including job
descriptions, qualifications, and application deadlines.
 Employers must have the option to edit, deactivate, or remove
job postings.

1.4 Application Management:


 Job seekers should be able to submit their resumes and cover
letters to job postings.
 Employers should have access to an applicant tracking system
(ATS) to review and manage applications.

1.5 Communication:
 Job seekers and employers should be able to communicate
through the system, including scheduling interviews and sending
messages.

2. Non-Functional Requirements:

2.1 Security:
 The system should ensure the confidentiality of user data and
job postings.
 User authentication and authorization should be implemented
securely.

2.2 Performance:
 The system should be responsive and capable of handling many
users and job postings simultaneously.
 Page load times should be minimized to provide a seamless user
experience.

2.3 Usability:
 The user interface should be user-friendly and straightforward
to navigate.
 Consideration should be given to incorporating accessibility
features to accommodate users with disabilities.

Constraints:
1. Budget Constraints: The project must be developed within the
allocated budget.
2. Time Constraints: The project must be completed within the
specified timeline.
3. Technology Constraints: The system should be compatible with
commonly used web browsers and mobile devices.

The Seek Employment System will be a web-based platform
accessible through standard web browsers and mobile devices.
Users will be able to create accounts, search for job openings,
submit applications, and communicate with potential employers.
