Tasks:
❖ Develop the branding/publicity and communication plan of the District, ensure its effective
implementation and produce periodical reports thereof;
❖ Manage events organized by the District and coordinate the production of related
branding materials
❖ Maintain and foster relations between the District and various stakeholders
❖ Work hand in hand with the Media and Communication Officer to manage, update and
disseminate information about the District;
❖ Collect data, and carry out press review and keep the authorities regularly informed
on the image of the District within and outside of the country, and accordingly, advise
the institution on the management of its image/reputation
❖ Manage & update the website and all social media platforms of the district
The study program "Media Campaigns for Social Change and Advocacy" holds
significant relevance for a PR, Media & Communication Officer candidate as it focuses
on developing a comprehensive skill set necessary for effective communication and
I will learn to craft compelling messages, leverage various media channels, and
engage diverse stakeholders to create a meaningful impact.
Employing a candidate with training in this program is highly relevant for the district. The
candidate will acquire the knowledge and skills to design and execute media campaigns
that effectively communicate government policies to the public. He will be adept at crafting
messages that resonate with the community, utilizing media channels to ensure policy
understanding and compliance, and fostering engagement and support among residents.
The candidate's ability to advocate for and drive social change aligns with the district's
mission to implement government policies that positively impact the lives of its citizens. By
leveraging the skills gained from the program, the candidate can play a pivotal role in
enhancing policy awareness, building public trust, and facilitating the successful
implementation of government initiatives within Nyamasheke District
The candidate is expected to implement the newly acquired knowledge and skills no later
than 6 months after successful completion of the study.
