At the end of Grade 1 (Part 2), the child should be able to

• Recognise, read and write numbers 0 to 10 in numerals and in words

• Count and write numerals in a group (up to 10)

• Match numerals to a number of items in a group and vice versa

• Recognise and use ordinal numbers, and name the position of a
