Problems in Engineering Mechanics:
•In our field of study we conceive, plan, design buildings, vehicles and countless
other amenities for making out life easier.
•Having in mind a definite purpose of the object to be constructed, we conceive its
appropriate form in our mind, either entirely new or an improvement upon one
already in existence.
•Then we have to analyze and determine the forces( known and unknown), acting
on the body and its motions.
•Having determined the forces we can continue with the design of the object using
materials of requisite strength and other properties.
•In order to calculate the forces acting on the body and the reactions produced we
must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the principle of mechanics
and their application.
