how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices.

Mental and physical health are equally important

components of overall health. For example,
depression increases the risk for many types of
physical health problems, particularly long-lasting
conditions like diabetes, heart disease, and stroke.
Similarly, the presence of chronic conditions can
increase the risk for mental illness.

A number of factors can contribute to risk for mental illness, such as

Adverse Childhood Experiences, such as trauma or a history of
abuse (for example, child abuse, sexual assault, witnessing
violence, etc.)
Experiences related to other ongoing (chronic) medical conditions,
such as cancer or diabetes
Biological factors or chemical imbalances in the brain
Use of alcohol or drugs
Having feelings of loneliness or isolation

BUILD SELF-ESTEEM. Practice self-love and repeat daily

affirmations. Worrying will only ruin your mood. Be confident
and you have to fake it until you make it. Forgive yourself for
things you can't change. Learn to love and be kind to yourself.

FOCUS ON YOUR STRENGTHS. In times of self-doubt, try

focusing on your strength that help you through tough
times like listening to music, painting, reading or anything
that make you happy and productive.

PRACTICE SELF-AFFIRMATIONS & SPEND TIME WITH NATURE MORE.

Write down every admirable quality that you like about yourself.
Journal everything that has happened your life and believe that
everything works out in your way.Be who you want to attract in your
life and believe you're lucky. Explore and see the beauty of the world.

TRUST THE LORD AND MEDITATE. When you're overly stressed, confused
and lost, pray and believe that He is with you and that this is all part of His
plans. Try meditating for 5 minutes to calm down your thoughts before
acting things that would surely regret you afterwards. Read the bible or
any books that would help calm your mood and help you decide.

TAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF. Engage in self-care activities. Try taking a day
off to rest and recharge. Take care of yourself by taking a bathe, doing your
skin-care and putting some make-up. Listen to music that you love or read
books and find a hobby. You shouldn't rush things so take time to love and
value yourself.

GET ENOUGH SLEEP AND TALK WITH PEOPLE YOU FIND COMFORTABLE.
A healthy night's sleep is crucial. It will benefit your physical and mental
health tremendously. Talk with the people you feel safe and comfortable
with. Learn to voice out your problems to your trusted people so it
wouldn't be so big and at least you'll have a peace of mind after that. Learn
to also value people around you especially your family and friends.
