1. Complete the following table naming each of the layers in the OSI Reference Model
and the TCP/IP Protocol Stack.
OSI TCP/IP
7 4
4 3
3 2
2 1

2. Complete the following table by supplying missing values for each numbering system.
(The first row has been completed for you as an example)
3. Complete the table to place each of the following protocols on the correct layer of the
TCP/IP stack:
Ethernet
HTTPS
ARP
PPP
Layer Protocols
4 – Application
3 – Transport
2 – Internet
4. Using Wireshark, capture packets when you visit the websites listed below. Include
screenshots of at least one captured packet for each site showing how the packet’s
payload is different between secure and non-secure connections.
http://capture.apple.com
https://capture.apple.com
5. Using Cisco Packet Tracer, create a logical network diagram of a Local Area Network that
features an Internet gateway (R01), two laptops connected via an unmanaged switch (S01)
and three PCs, and a network printer connected via a managed switch (S02).
6. Using Cisco Packet Tracer, create a physical network diagram of a Local Area Network that
features an Internet gateway (R01), two laptops connected via an unmanaged switch (S01)
and three PCs, and a network printer connected via a managed switch (S02). The devices
connected to each switch should be on a separate subnet. All devices should be able to reach
the Internet.
(Note: You can choose your own addressing for each device that meets the above
requirements)
8. Using the provided Azure Lab, provide a screenshot showing you successfully tracing the route
between your Windows 10 nested VM and the Google DNS server (8.8.8.8)
9. Using the Azure Lab, provide a screenshot after installing nmap on the Windows 10 nested
VM. It is sufficient to provide a screenshot of File Explorer showing the nmap executable file
installed in the Windows 10 VM filesystem.
10. Using nmap, obtain a report of all open ports on the Windows 2016 Server nested VM. Copy
and paste the report below.
