B. Development of the Lesson


a. Motivational Activity
The teacher will present a short video. After presenting the
video, the teacher will ask some questions:
1. What you have observe about the video presented?
2. Is that familiar to you?
3. Have you encountered this dance steps?
4. What is your idea about the steps?
b. Analysis
The teacher will introduce the basic position, weight transfer,
and footwork. Students will be encouraged to ask questions
and clarify any confusion they have. The teacher will
demonstrate the steps slowly and then gradually increase
the speed.

c. Abstraction
Students will be learning the different basic steps in folk
dancing with the aid of the teacher.

Critical questions:
1. What is the step pattern for bleking?
2. What dance step is hard for you to execute?
3. What dance step is easy for you to execute?
4. What is the purpose of learning these basic steps in folk
dancing?

d. Application
Students will be divided into four groups. Each group will
create their own dance choreography using the basic dance
steps in folk dancing. After practicing in their groups,
students will come together and perform the dances they
learned in front of the class. They will be assessed on their
execution of the basic steps, coordination, and
synchronization. The teacher will give feedback on their
performance and provide tips for improvement.
Students will be assessed using a rubric that includes the
following criteria:

Execution of the basic steps – 30%


Coordination with the group - 25%
Synchronization - 15%
Creativity of the dance - 30%

The rubric will be shared with the students beforehand so


that they are aware of the expectations and criteria.

e. Generalization
Students will reflect on their learning by filling out an
individual reflection sheet. They will be asked to identify the
basic steps they learned, their experience in practicing and
performing the dance, and how they can apply what they
learned in other dances or activities.
C. Assessment
The students will be given a summative test based on the
lesson about basic steps in folk dancing.
D. Assignment
Write a reflection paper about the topic we discuss and it
consists 300 words.
Modular activity will also be given.
