ENGINEER TRAINEE SCHEME, BATCH 2007- 08

We are writing to you to explore the possibility of recruiting Graduate


Engineering students from your College. Thermax is one of the few
companies in the world that offer integrated solutions in Energy and
Environment Management. With its broad spectrum engineering expertise
in Heating, Cooling, Power, Water and Waste Management and
Chemicals. Thermax enables Corporates to be energy-efficient and at the
same time, environment–friendly. Thus contributing to industry’s
bottomline and the growing global effort towards sustainable development.
With a Multidivisional approach to business we focus on the following core
business areas:

Project Group - consisting of Power, Boilers & Heaters & Enviro business
C&H Group - consisting of Cooling & Heating Business.
C&W- consisting of Chemical & Water & Waste Solutions Business.

The Group Turnover for 2005 –2006 was Rs. 1639.77 crores. Our total
Number of subsidiaries world over are 13.

Our Corporate Office and manufacturing facilities are at Pune and the
Chemical factory at Khopoli. A large new manufacturing facility is being
erected at Vadodra. The cooling business is erecting a new manufacturing
facility in Jaixing near Shangai, China.
We have our regional offices at Mumbai, Delhi, Calcutta, and Chennai.
Area Offices are located at Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Hyderabad, Bangalore
and a few other cities. Our overseas offices are situated at Indonesia,
Kenya, Lagos, Nigeria, Malaysia, Moscow, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Dhaka, Sri
Lanka, China UK and USA.

Our Training Scheme:

The overall training duration would be of one year. Training is primarily


through learning on-the-job, with additional focus on functional learning’s
through rotational assignments. Formal classroom training is also
imparted at regular intervals. All trainees would be required to undergo
training at Thermax sites or on the Shop Floor or in Service for a period of
6 to 10 months. On satisfactory completion of training they will be
absorbed as regular employees. Placement of a trainee in any particular
function is made after a careful review of his/ her academic background,
organizational requirement and interview panel observations.

The expected date of joining is 1st August 2008. The stipend offered is
Rs.3.00 lacs Per Annum to B’Tech candidates.
