23. *1 sc, 1 inv.dec** repeat * to ** 6 times (12)

24. Sc in each st

Top up the stuffing

25. Inv.dec in each st (6)

Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing the last stitches together.

Using another tail of colour A, starting from the top of the head, make several rounds of sts down the top of the middle of
the head to give the pointed shape. See image below for guidance.

Eye – white part (make 2):

1. Using colour B, work 6 sc in magic ring (6)

2. Inc in each st (12)

3. *1 sc, 1 inc** repeat * to ** 6 times (18)

Sl st in first st and tie off leaving a long tail for attaching later.

Eye – black & beige part (make 2):

1. Using colour C, work 4 sc in magic ring (6)

2. Inc in each st (8)

3. Change to colour D, *1 sc, 1 inc** repeat * to ** 4 times (12)

Using a bit of colour B, make a st at the top of row 2 to add a glint in his eyes.

Sl st in first st and tie off, leaving a long tail for attaching later.

Face shaping:

On the middle of the front of the face, in row 15, count 9 sts.

Make a st with DK cotton yarn through the head with the 9 sts in between, the colour won’t matter as this will be covered
up later.

Make the next st 2 sts back and through the head again, exiting 2 sts back from the entry st. Pull tight to create a dent
between the two sts, this is where your eyes will sit.

Repeat once more and fasten off with a knot in your starting st.

Eyes placement:

The white part of the eye will sit across row 14-18, counting 5 sts in between on row 15.

The pupils will sit flush with the bottom of the white eye, ever so slightly further in from the white, see image for guidance.
Sew in place.

Further eye shaping:

Now you’ll create the shaping around the eyes (guidance images below), I would recommend using pins to mark your
start and end on both eyes before starting.

Using colour A and your crochet hook, starting on the outside of the right eye in row 16, crochet up and around the eye,
down the other side, ending in row 14. Fasten off and tie in loose ends.

For the under eye shaping, with a tail of colour A, make a long st from where you ended your shaping in row 14 (make
sure the tail sits snug under the eye) to row 15 and secure in place. Tie in loose ends.

For the left eye, you’ll start on the inside of the eye in row 14 and end on the outside in row 16.

Mouth:

Using pins, mark up the following first and then you’ll connect the dots (guidance images below).

Between row 11 and 12, count 4 sts in the middle of the face and add pins to mark each end.

One row down, count 4 sts away from each pin and mark.

One row up, , count 3 sts away from each pin and mark.

Two rows up, , count 2 sts away from each pin and mark.

Using a tail of colour E, make long sts between each pin.

Now you’ll use the method you used for the over eye shaping, starting on the right, one row above the top of the mouth.
Crochet along the bottom of the mouth stitches, following the shape, ending one row above the other side of the mouth.
Fasten off and tie in loose ends.

Body:

1. Using colour A, work 6 sc in magic ring (6)

2-22. Sc in each st

23. *1 sc, 1 inc** repeat * to ** 3 times (9)

24-27. Sc in each st

28. *2 sc, 1 inc** repeat * to ** 3 times (12)

29-31. Sc in each st

32. *3 sc, 1 inc** repeat * to ** 3 times (15)

33. *4 sc, 1 inc** repeat * to ** 3 times (18)

34. Inc in the next 3 sts, sc in the rest (21)

35. Sc in each st

36. Inc in the next 3 sts, sc in the rest (24)

37. Sc in each st

38. Inc in the next 3 sts, sc in the rest (27)

39. Sc in each st

40. Inc in the next 3 sts, sc in the rest (30)

41. Sc in each st

42. Inc in the next 3 sts, sc in the rest (33)

43. Sc in each st

44. Inc in the next 3 sts, sc in the rest (36)

45. Sc in each st

46. Inc in the next 3 sts, sc in the rest (39)

47-51. Sc in each st

52. Inv.dec 6 times, sc in the rest (33)

53. Inv.dec 6 times, sc in the rest (27)

Sl st in first st and tie off, leaving a long tail for attaching later.

You can also use DK yarn to sew the parts together if you have a matching colour.

Stuffing of the body and tail shaping:

You’ll stuff the tail lightly, starting from where you did your first increase in row 23, do not stuff row 1-22.

Now stuff the rest of the body firmly, make sure to accentuate the raised back where you did your increases.

Once the body has been stuffed, start rolling the tail up tightly, starting from the tip. You should get two full rounds, pin in
place to the body, up to around row 37. Sew the tail in place using either colour A or you can use a bit of cotton DK in a
similar colour.

Front legs (make 2):

1. Using colour A (leave a long tail before your first ch for attaching later) ch 6

2. Create a chain ring by starting in ch 1 and sc in all 6 sts

3-14. Sc in each st

15. *Sl st, [sl st, ch 6, sl st] in same st** repeat * to ** 3 times

Fasten off and tie in loose end.

Stuff the leg firmly but avoid the stuffing showing through the sts.

Sew across the top opening.

Back legs (make 2):

1. Using colour A (leave a long tail before your first ch for attaching later) ch 6

2. Create a chain ring by starting in ch 1 and sc in all 6 sts

3-6. Sc in each st

7. *Sc 2, inc** repeat * to ** 2 times (8)

8. *Sc 3, inc** repeat * to ** 2 times (10)

9. *Sl st, [sl st, ch 6, sl st] in same st, sl st** repeat * to ** 3 times, sl st in last st

Fasten off and tie in loose end.

Stuff the leg firmly but avoid the stuffing showing through the sts.

Sew across the top opening.

Bow:

1. Using colour F, leaving a long starting tail for later, chain 11

2. Starting in second st from the hook, sc 10, then sc 10 down the other side of the ch (20)

3. Inc, sc 9, inc, sc 9 (22)

Using your starting tail, pinch the bow in the middle and pull the yarn around the middle to hold the pinch, repeat 4 times.

Assembly:

Sew the body to the head across rows 5-13 of the head, to give him more character make sure you pin the head at an
angle before attaching, his head should be turned slightly to the right.

The back legs should sit across row 37 to 40 of the body and the bottom of the legs should end just below the body so
that the belly is raised from the ground.

The top of the front legs will sit right behind the head, flush with round 10 of the head.

The bow is sewn on right below Pascal’s chin.

Ta-da! Pascal is complete!
