I –TITLE - Conduct KP Gender Sensitivity Training (GST)

II. RATIONALE:

Training for Gender equality and women’s empowerment is an essential

component to advance equality. This is basically for gender equality that is transformative
process that aims to provide knowledge, techniques and tools to develop skills and changes in
attitudes and behaviours. It is a parties in order to create inclusive societies that recognize the
need to promote gender equality.

The Gender Sensitivity Training is a tool, strategy and means to effect

individual and collective transformation towards gender equality to raising awareness and
encourage learning, knowledge-building and skills development. It helps women and men to
understand the role gender plays and to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for
advancing gender equality in their daily lives and work. Training for gender equality is part
and parcel delivering our commitment to equal human rights for all.

III. OBJECTIVE:

1. To develop sensitivity in perceiving existing gender issues and equalities;

2. To recognizing the different situation and needs of women and men and consider
them in every action or decision they make;
3. To deepen their understanding on how and why women’s right are human rights.
4. To enlighten the participants specially the Katarungang Pamabarangay members on
the process and procedures of the barangay justice system to enhance administering
of disputes affecting women, children and indigenous members within the
community.

l. TITLE: TRAINING OF PARENTS ON ENHANCED PARENTS EFFECTIVENESS

SERVICE SEMINAR FOR CHILDREN IN NEED OF SPECIAL PROTECTION.

ll. RATIONALE:
To accomplish implement THE CHILD MOVEMENT in the City. The Charito
Child Development Centers with the ccordination of the ( BCPC). Barangay council for the
Protection Children of Brgy. Charito, Bayugan City. Planned to conduct the above stated
training for the purpose of promoting and protecting children’s right by way of educating the
parents. This is also anchored on the government’s commitment torm progressively
implement the Convention of the rights of the Child (CRC), particularly the third category of
the rights which is the Right to Protection R. A. 7610 and Provincial Children’s Code also
mandated all LGU’S to promote and protect children.

lll. OBJECTIVES
1. At the end of the training, the key persons of the concerned Barangay where the
training is conducted will be able to understand the right of the children and
advocate for its promotional and protection.
2. The key person of the said Barangay acquire knowledge, skills and techniques
in helping children in need of special protection.
3. Enhanced key person on their duties and responsibilities as parents.

l. TITLE: CONDUCT IEC’s ON VAWC CAMPAIGN

ll. RATIONALE:
In a compartmentalized world, the rights of women and those of children have often
been promoted in isolation from one another. Gender Equality and the protection of human
rights, especially of children and those most vulnerable, are fundamental principles of the
United Nations. These rights cut across all aspects of the UN’s work and are crucial to long-
term progress, including achievement of the Millennium Development Gals. On other hand,
the struggles to realize the human rights of women and children have much in common
because historically women and children have been legally and socially disadvantage.

II. LEGAL BASIS: The legal basis of this activities are define from the following;
1. RA 9710- Is a comprehensive women’s human rights law that seeks to eliminate
discrimination through the recognition, protection, fulfillment, and promotion of the
rights of Filipino women, especially those belong in the marginalized sectors of the
society.
2. RA 9262- or Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004,
recognizes the need to protect the family and its members particularly women and
children, f5rom violence and threats to their personal safety and security.
3. RA 6725_prohibits discrimination and respect to terms and conditions of employment
solely on the basis of sex.
4. Proclamation No. 1105: Declaring October 15, 1997, and Every Year Thereafter, as “
National Rural Women’s Day.

lll. OBJECTIVES:
1. At the end of the training, the key persons of the concerned individual where the
training is conducted will be able to understand the right of women and the children
and advocate for its promotional and protection.

1V.PARTICIPANTS: The participants of this activity are those vulnerable women and
children in the Barangay and selected individual who’s intention is to participate and
understand of the said activity.

DATE AND VENUE OF ACTIVITY: The symposium will be conducted on May 17, 2023
in Barangay Charito Multi-purpose Building, Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur.

l. TITLE: CONDUCT INFORMATION AND EDUCATION CAMPAIGN (IEC’s) ON

CHILD PROTECTION LAWS AND ITS RIGHT.

ll. RATIONALE:
November marks the start of National Children’s month, as declared by the National
Council of Welfare for Children (CWC). This month-long event aims to promote and spread
awareness on the rights of children here in the Philippines, considering the political and social
climate they live in. The Philippines still has a long way to go when it comes to ensuring
adequate healthcare , quality education, and a bright future for Filipino Children.
Parents, guardians and all adults should be vigilant in protecting and advocating for
the rights of children. This activity is a gentle reminder for everyone to ensure that we are
creating a better world for young Filipinos to live in the future. For this purpose the Barangay
Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) will be conducting early symposium to support
of the said activities.

II. LEGAL BASIS: The legal basis of this activities are define from the following;
1. RA 7610- Special protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and
Discrimination Act’
2. RA 8980- or the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Act of 2000,
3. RA 9231- An Act Providing for the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labor and
Affording Stronger Protection for the Working Child of 2003,
4. RA 9344- Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act,
5. RA 9775-Anti Child Pornography Act,
6. RA 9262-Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004

l. TITLE: REORGANIZATION AND REORIENTATION OF BARANGAY

DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND MANAGEMENT COUNCIL.

11. RATIONALE: It is the duty of the Barangay government to adopt measures to protect
the inhabitants from the harmful effects of manmade or natural disasters and calamities and to
provide relief services and assistance for victims during and in the aftermath of the said
disasters and calamities.

111. OBJECTIVES:

1. To equip with basic information, knowledge on DRR and the salient provision of
R.A. 10121 that can be useful in the development of barangay disaster risk
reduction and to mainstream the DRR in the LGUs program. To enable them to
participate their rights being a disable.
2. To level-off and establish common understanding on DRR.
3. To know the processes on how to expend the 5% fund for DRRM.

l. TITLE: FIRE SAFETY ORIENTATION AND TRAINING ON FIRE

DRILLING, BASIC LIFE SUPPORT AND FIRST AID.

11. RATIONALE:

Fire Safety Orientation and Training on Fire Drilling

In the present state of Barangay Charito where economic growth is at its peak
commercial and residential establishment are being built. It is important that these
developments are safeguard from fire that could cripple and hamper the growth. The training
is much needed to equip the barangay with an organization and skills necessary in a first
response reaction in cases of fire in our locality.

Basic Life Support

This seminar aims to equip participants with knowledge, skills and confidence to
perform management to a person whose breathing and heartbeat suddenly stopped. The
trainings include lecture and demonstration on performing foreign airway obstruction
management, rescue breathing and CPR.

First Aid
The courses aim to equip participants with knowledge, skills and confidence in
providing care for a person who has been injured or suddenly become ill. The trainings
include lecture and demonstration on bandaging techniques, emergency transfers and common
emergencies.

III. OBJECTIVES: At the end of the training the participants shall be :

1. To equip the participants with the skills and knowledge necessary in fire prevention
and suppression basic rescue operation and medical first response.
2. to create awareness of the barangay that fire prevention and suppression can be
performed efficiently in the barangay level tru the creation of Barangay Fire Brigade if
possible.
