Case Study

1. Introduction
Advised time for preparation is 3 hours. Case study consists of:

1. Project Kick-off meeting:

a. Send final result as PDF (slides) to your interviewer before the presentation

b. You will be presenting your slide deck during the interview.

2. Odoo basic flow Demo:

a. Prepare a demo using Odoo. You will be presenting the demo during the interview.

b. It might be your first time using Odoo, this will be considered by the interviewer.

2. Context
About the Customer

● 50 employees, HQ in Quétaro, México.

● Trading company

○ Source locally (Mexican vendors)

○ Import from overseas - mainly frozen beef from Japan, but various products from all
around the world

● Customers / Sales Channels

○ Mainly B2B - hotels, restaurants, supermarkets

○ Also B2C - e-commerce

● Additional information: The imported beef can be cut into smaller pieces and packages, that
are sold to the customer

○ Each piece of meat can have a different weight (depending how the butcher cut it).
Example - “Beef Cut 2kg” has usually real weight from 1.9 - 2.1 kg

○ There are two warehouses (both located in Queréraro): One for cold storage (freezer)
and One for dry storage (rice, cans, any non cooled food

○ B2B orders are delivered by in-house trucks and motorbikes

■ Two trips - morning 6am and afternoon 2pm

■ B2C by Grab delivery ad-hoc as orders are coming

○ CRM - Hubspot

○ Excel - for Sales Orders, Inventory management

○ Local accounting system - Compaq - Aspel Suit

○ Ecommerce - Woocommerce

● Expectations

○ Implementation of full scope ERP system

3. Your task
If you miss information about this project or Odoo, you are free to make assumptions. You will be
asked about the reasoning behind these assumptions during the presentation.

Kickoff meeting preparation

1. Prepare a slide deck for project kick-off with the Customer. You should be able to:

a. Explain the benefits of Odoo ERP compared to their current systems and operations.

b. Present the project scope (Include a simple end 2 end flow chart (business process)
of your expected solution in Odoo. The diagram has to be understandable)

c. Propose the implementation strategy / methodology

d. Propose project schedule split by milestones.

e. Present the project organisation (project will be delivered by the Vietnam team)

f. Present the projects risks

g. Any other information that you think is important to mention during the meeting

ERP Demo preparation

2. Prepare a basic Odoo demo of Purchase and Sales flow

a. Create a new trial instance on https://www.odoo.com/trial

b. Install the required applications

c. Create a Product

d. Purchase and Receive a Product

e. Sell and Deliver a Product.

f. Generate and Send the invoice.
