Electrical
Power Requirements:
120 Volts, 12 Amps 60Hz
Plug Type:
NEMA 5-15 sockets are required. (One for each
rotisserie and one for the heated grease collection
reservoir, if purchased).
Proximity:
The plug must be within 6ft (183 cm) of the cord on the
lower rear right corner of the rotisserie.
The appliance must be electrically grounded in
accordance with local codes or in the absence of local
codes, with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70
or by the Canadian Electrical Code CSA C22.2 as
applicable.
Water
Pressure:
30 – 60 PSI (2.1-4.1 bar) at inlet (Equipped with
regulator)
Water Quality:
Hardness not to exceed 4 GPG (70 PPM)
Water Connection:
A direct connection to a permanent HOT water supply is
required. A backflow prevention device may be
required by your local regulations.
Water Connection Proximity:
The water supply fitting must be within 3ft (91 cm) of the
gas fitting on lower rear right corner of the rotisserie.
Water Fitting:
½” NPT
Drain
Make sure that the AutoClean drain is plumbed in a
manner which allows the rotisserie to remain mobile for
servicing. The effluent from this drain may contain Fats,
Oils and Greases (FOGs).
Local regulation may require a backflow prevention device
and special methods for disposing of grease laden water
and FOGs. Consult local authorities to determine what
regulations are in force for appliances of this type.
The 1” AutoClean drain lines from double deck
rotisseries must NEVER be plumbed together. Doing
so will cause improper drainage performance and will
lead to other plumbing problems.

The environment around the appliance must be kept free
from any combustible material; the floor must not be made
of combustible material.
Do not locate the rotisserie in an area where the control
side is next to fryers, broilers or other appliances that emit
grease, smoke, humidity, flour, etc.
The rotisserie must be installed in a draft-free area where
temperatures are above 45 degrees Fahrenheit (7
degrees Celsius).

Proximity:
The gas supply fitting must be within 3ft (91 cm) and the
gas shut off must be within 4ft (122 cm) of the lower
right rear corner of the rotisserie.
The shut off must be located in an accessible location.
Restrainer:
All rotisseries equipped with casters must be equipped
with a restraining cable and a quick disconnect device.
* As indicated on the serial plate, located at the back of
the rotisserie. The gas consumption varies with rotisserie
set-up. Consult Hardt for assistance in optimizing for your
application.
Ventilation
Hood: Type 1 / Class A grease hood with filters and
equipped with a fire suppression system.
Hardt recommends a 6”– 12” (15 cm – 31 cm) minimum
overhang canopy of the hood on the sides and front of the
rotisserie (this may vary as per local code).
The hood should remove the exhaust gases without
disturbing the air within the rotisserie.
Ensure that the fire suppression nozzles do not prevent
the rotisserie from being moved.
An adequate air supply must be supplied to the unit at all
times during operation to ensure proper flow of
combustion and ventilation air.

Only single deck rotisseries can have the top vent configuration. Instead of having a chimney stack
as shown in the illustration above; the chimney protrudes from the top of the top vent rotisseries by
