I think that real friends should have these good qualities. First, they should be
honest and loyal because true friendship is based essentially on mutual trust. Second,
they should be good listeners. In life, we frequently need to listen to each other’s
worries and concerns. Third, true friends should be supportive. Whenever we have a
problem, we’ll be able to count on their support and care. Fourth, true friends are
always ready to share common interests and values. Finally, they should also be
respectful, thoughtful, generous and cheerful. These qualities will certainly strengthen
the friendship ties and make life more enjoyable. In a word, true friendship is rare
nowadays, so these are some of the most valuable qualities that make friends be true
ones.
