Update purpose :

Object : Turning Sleep Mode Off via TACHOLINK

Background
The Connekt reference 900588RAxxRxx is delivered with Sleep Mode activated. This allows a reduced power
consumption, 10 minutes after turning ignition Off. However, it may impact the timing of some interfaces,
such as the motion sensor (x35 events) and D8.

Turning OFF Sleep Mode


To deactivate this Sleep Mode, the truck can visit a workshop and use Optimo version 5.6 or later. Please
refer to SIL19_016. Alternatively, a Fleet customer can use a new SMART Phone application, available to the
STONERIDGE Importers from January 6th, 2020: the TachoConfig app version 3.7.
This application will communicate with the tachograph over the TACHOLINK, our reference 7800-140:

Set-up
• When the app starts/opens you’ll see:

• To connect a dongle, tap the Settings icon (top right). You will see the settings screen:

• Ensure a dongle is attached to a tachograph before the next step.


• If the Dongle has never been paired to the phone/device, click the middle option “Bluetooth Settings”. This
will use the phone’s built-in Bluetooth settings to scan for a new device. Select the dongle once it has been
found and enter the PIN (only required if the phone has never connected to this dongle before). The PIN is
written on the TACHOLINK itself.

• In TachoConfig Settings screen, tap the first option (Dongle To Connect) and select the dongle:

• The settings should now show the connected dongle:

• Back in the main screen, click “Connect to SE5000”. This will show a loading icon while the app connects to
the Tachograph.

• Once it has connected you will see the Tachograph Configuration screen:

• Click on “Sleep Activation” to turn OFF Sleep Mode. The procedure is complete. You can disconnect the
TACHOLINK.

Additional Steps
If the Sleep Mode is turned Off for a D8 problem, you must first ensure with your Telematic partner or using
your company card that the “D8 data format” is set to “SRE”. If D8 is set to “2400”, this must be changed
with the Company card via the Tachograph menu.
The option is in the menu SETTINGS > Parameters > D8 data format. A company card is required.
