3. PROCEDURES

A. Preliminary Activities

1. Energizer “ Say the color not the word game”

2. Review What are living things? What are nonliving things?

3. Motivation Ask the pupils the following questions:


● Have you gone swimming with your parents,
brothers and sisters? Where was that place?
● Did you enjoy swimming?
● Have you traveled by boat with your parents,
brothers and sisters? Where was that place?
● Did you enjoy the travel?
● Where do you get the water you use for drinking,
for taking a bath, and for washing their clothes?
Show pictures of the different bodies of water.

B. Lesson Proper

1. Activity Let the pupils examine the pictures. Ask them if the body of
water is familiar to them.

2. Analysis a. Ask the following questions:

Are you familiar with these bodies of water?


Have you been to one of these bodies of water? Can you
describe each body of water that you have been to?
How does it feel like to be there?

b. -Have an insightful discussion on the concept notes about the


bodies of water found in the community.

Integration in Literacy: Learners read the important


concepts.

Waterforms in the Community

There are different bodies of water that can be


found around us:

● river- it flows from the mountain towards the


sea.

● pond- it is surrounded by land and is home to


domesticated fishes.

● waterfall- a form of water that flows rapidly


from a river or stream located on a high part of
a mountain.

● sea- it is smaller than the ocean.

● stream- it is smaller and shallower than a river, it


usually dries up when it is hot.

● spring- its water comes from the ground. There is


cold and hot spring water.

C. Abstraction
● Are bodies of water important to people? Why?
● Do you think there are plants and animals living
around and in these bodies of water? Support your
answer.
Integration in Ap: How can we take good care of our
different bodies of water?

HOTS: In your own opinion, is it important to identify the


different bodies of water? Why?
D. Generalization What are the different bodies of water?

E. Application Group Activity- Differentiated Activities

Let the learners group into four:

Group 1: Let them identify what body of water is


described in each sentence.

Group 2: Draw one example of a body of water.

Group 3: Identify the different bodies of water using


pictures.

Group 4: Make a body of water using modeling clay.


F. Evaluation Directions: Identify the body of water described in each
sentence. Write the letter of the correct answer.
