 At a Harvard MBA program graduate students were
asked, “Have you set clear, written goals for your future
and made plans to accomplish them?”

 Being specific is when you state or write exactly what you want to
accomplish.
 What: What do we want to accomplish?
 Why: Specific reasons, purpose or benefits of accomplishing the goal.
 Who: Who is involved?
 Where: Identify a location

SMART - Measurable
 Measurable – you must be able to demonstrate and evaluate the
extent to which your goal is achieved. It lets you know how your
