2.1 Claims, assertions, statements.

Own claims are statements that should be considered true. These claims can be written or oral
which are true, there are also claims that may be lies that are used as statements or orders.

Facts and Opinion

In a claim, facts are needed, not just opinions without evidence. In a paragraph, for example,
if there is a claim, that paragraph must come from facts. However, it could be considered
wrong depending on who saw it. Is that fact true or false. Facts are a form of truth that are
still being sought to find undiscovered truths not only from someone's opinion without any
evidence.

Value judgement

Claims for example whether the person is good or evil, greedy or humble and as such this is
called judgment. Suppose you value someone's work in terms of how little or much they get
like the salary or amount they get.

Predictions and probabilities

Prediction is something that a researcher claims about the future. Then, probabilities are
predictions made to take into account themselves.

Hypotheses

A hypotheses is a provisional guess from a study. There are no actual results yet. Either that,
right or wrong.

Recommendations

Recommendations are suggestions from people based on something they have used,
recommendations can be accepted or not.
2.2 Judging Claims

Justification

Justification in a study is a reason or evidence that must be presented to be convincing.

Justification can be a consideration in a study.

Standards

In the claim, of course there is a right and wrong depending on the standards that have been
set.

The Balance of probability

In this case, there can be justification according to the context being discussed in order to stay
in the balance of probability.

Knowledge and Certainty

Knowledge is needed in the claim then there is certainty, a certain form does not necessarily
guarantee how one's life will be one day.

Generalisations

is something that is seen broadly or universally.
