Learning Objectives At the end of this session, the participants are expected to:
1. Explain the guidelines of using the Most Essential Learning Competencies in teaching Araling Panlipunan.
2. Describe the characteristics of an essential learning competencies.
3. Create sample of lesson log using the new MELC.
Key Understandings • Understanding and familiarizing MELC can help teachers to know what are the needs of the students in the
teaching learning process in this time of pandemic.
• Teachers are able to relearn what they need to teach during the preparation of the lesson plan.
