Job Details Position Industry Type Functional Area Location of Job Job Description DIRECTOR-Supply Chain Management FMCG / Foods / Beverage Purchase / Logistics / Supply Chain Dubai - United Arab Emirates DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES A.Inventory Management 1.Following the Order prompt from principal, analyze the stock position, minimum stock levels, sales forecast and finalizing the orders in line with budgeted purchase. 2.Take responsibility of reliable & economical on-time goods shipment, within agreed budget costs, from principal factory, warehouse and port of departure/arrival depending on the agreed delivery terms. 3.Negotiate with forwarders, routing of shipments, consolidation of shipments wherever required. 4.Analyzing the inventory and ensuring uninterrupted availability of stocks to various warehouse locations. Take appropriate action to move stocks within the location to ensure proper stock rotation to reduce expiry. 5.Coordination with Finance department to ensure all documents are in proper order to avoid any delay in clearing and approvals. 6.Liaise with Finance department for insurance declarations of goods in transit, corrective action of slow moving near expiry stocks. 7.Study current supply & demand chain processes, recommend solutions to appropriate stakeholders, and deliver solutions that improve the supply & demand chain efficiency and costs. 8.Evaluate the current principal supply standards and report to management for improvising. 9.Review safety stock policy, analyze supplier lead times, Forecast accuracy, Economic order quantity etc., Vet, challenge & negotiate. B.Warehouse Management 1.Set out warehouse management periodic goals in liaison with General Manager. 2.Ensure stocks are handled and stored to keep them in the best possible condition in accordance to manufacturers specifications. 3.Maintain the warehouse heat & humidity conditions as required by the product specifications and other local regulatory authorities. 4.Study the current warehouse operational procedures proposing necessary changes in line with senior management approval. 5.Responsible for creating Standard Operational Procedures manual, approve the same from senior management and implement on agreed timeframes. 6.Conduct time studies, propose best practices in line with the industry and improve efficiency in all warehouse operations. 7.Review current document, cash handling procedures and propose foolproof systems. 8.Conduct basic training programs for the staff & supervisors. Propose & facilitate special training as approved. 9.Periodically conduct risk analysis and required retraining for the staff & supervisors. 10.Coordinate with warehouse & finance to conduct periodical stock counts on ongoing basis and 100% physical inventory as required by the senior management. 11.Study and propose efficient work flow in various operations of the warehouse from intake, stock put away, picking, checking/packing, loading, delivery & returns. 12.Propose an Induction program for all new employees ensuring full system adaptation. 13.Maintain proper records, system and environment for Pharma/OTC warehouses re temperature control system and Pest & Rodent control. Recommend and adopt the most effective positive conditions & facilities. C.Vehicle Management & Deliveries

1.Responsible for maintaining all equipments and ensuring proper maintenance, repair & replacement in accordance with the budget proposals. 2.Probing innovative ways of managing fleet, optimization & reducing Operational cost. 3.Adhering to all safety and traffic rules, good driving practices including counseling of drivers and operators. 4.Study the order lead time and propose route plans for optimization. 5.Propose Service Agreements with Sales Manager and implementation of the same after approval. 6.Maintaining of all vehicle records, fuel consumption records & propose innovative systems for managing costs. 7.Conduct Customer Survey and agree on delivery service levels. 8.Ensure the delivery work flow and propose efficient & effective operation. D.Health & Safety 1.Propose Health & Safety best practices and implement the same in all locations. 2.Check & report all necessary safety implementations and ensure adherence to local civil defense laws & safety procedures. 3.Ensure the facilities are in utmost clean, dust proof and ergonomic condition. 4.Insure to maintain proper insurance policies to be implemented for storage and warehouses and its related employees or operations. E.Budget , Planning & Communication 1.Assist in preparation of Annual Logistics Budget involving all direct & indirect costs including operational, manpower costs. 2.Asset review and proposal for new and replacements. 3.Review of various contracts and ensuring the implementation of the same. 4.Manpower planning including annual leave plans and resource optimization. 5.Propose weekly, monthly reports to management and report Key Performance areas periodically. 6.Identify problem areas and report to senior management proposing necessary steps
